However inbound lines to the affected area become congested and it s difficult to get a call. If you are not hurry to contact them, voice mail service in emergency 171 provided by NTT functions to convey voice messages for confirming the safety of families and so on. By dialing 171 and following the Japanese-language instructions, callers can leave messages for people in affected areas. Those hit by the disaster can similarly leave messages for people outside.
