Call for Papers: Second Language The deadline for submissions in 2018 is September 30 th for the next issue. Second Language is the research journal of the Japan Second Language Association. It is published annually, and only members of the association are eligible to contribute. Autumn in Kyoto itself is appealing, but what makes it extra alluring is the chance to listen to what promises to be thought-provoking talks by Kook-Hee Gil, Neal Snape, Kazumi Yamada, Mutsumi Ogawa, Shigenori Wakabayashi and Takayuki Kimura. The topic is the acquisition of articles (DPs), and even if you do not know much about this area of research, now is your chance to get up-to-speed with recent proposals and L2 studies. 3. The Second General Business Meeting The Second General Business Meeting will be held at the venue of the Autumn Research Seminar from 13:50-14:10. The audit report for FY2017 and the events during FY2019 will be the topics, among others. All J-SLA members are welcome to participate. 4.
