Even if the device test result suggests a safe blood alochol level, this does not constitute an authorised legitimation to go behind the wheel, or indeed any other activity which should not be carried out under the influence of alcohol. Variations among people and other factors, such as altitude and air temperature, affect the degree of intoxication. Some people may become intoxicated at low BAC levels. A low BAC on a breath alcohol tester does not mean that a person s reaction times can respond to any emergency encountered. INTENDED USE This Kyutec alcohol tester is intended to measure alcohol in human breath. This high quality product has a built-in sensor with class-leading accuracy. Its advanced breath sampling technology quickly measures the presence of alcohol in breath. The unique Smart LED / LCD system indicates your BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) both numerically and audibly. CONSIDERATIONS BEFORE USE Allow at least 20 minutes after drinking, smoking and eating before testing. Avoid testing in strong winds, in a closed room with a heavy amount of smoke, or where alcohol is present. Do not blow cigarette smoke, food or liquid into the unit. Only use the unit in a temperature range of C. Operation above or below this range may affect the results. 3

4 For more accurate results, it is recommended to have the unit recalibrated every 6 months or 300 tests. Contact your dealer for details. Do not store or use the unit in extreme conditions to protect the sensor. Do not use the unit as a tool to determine whether or not you should operate a vehicle or machinery. Do not let yourself or anyone else drink and drive. Always appoint a designated driver when you or anyone else drinks alcohol. The BAC result displayed is for reference only. BAC changes over time depending on many factors. BAC at one time can differ from BAC a few minutes later. You cannot use the results of this product in court. 5 0.2 Straw Insert it into the additional mouthpiece. Another option to keep the mouthpiece clean or for shared use. GETTING STARTED Remove the battery cover located on the back of the unit. Install 2 x 1.5V AA alkaline batteries matching the correct polarity and replace the battery cover. IMPORTANT! Wait 20 Minutes No Drinking No Eating No Smoking Wait 20 minutes after the subject drinks, smokes or eats before testing. Failure to wait for 20 minutes can lead to inaccurate BAC readings. HOW TO USE Mouthpiece: Flip up the folded mouthpiece located on the left side of the unit. Attach an additional mouthpiece. Note: Six additional mouthpieces are provided for testing multiple subjects. Using a straw: Flip up the folded mouthpiece and insert an additional mouthpiece. Then insert a straw (with similar diameter of the additional mouthpiece) (not provided) into the additional mouthpiece. 5

6 Blow Wait POWER ON: Press the power button to switch on the unit. The unit initiates sensor warm-up and auto-cleansing process. Timer counts down from 99 to 0. READY: Wait until Rdy (Ready) appears with a single beep to indicate that the unit is ready to use. BLOWING: Blow STEADILY into the mouthpiece or the straw for 5 BAC seconds UNTIL a beep sounds to signal completion of the test. The unit analyses the sample and shows the measured Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) on the LCD display. Depending on the version of your product, BAC value will be displayed in BAC / % BAC / mg/l. Retesting: Simply switch off the unit and switch it on again to perform a retest. It is recommended to wait for at least 1 minute to get the most accurate result among multiple tests. Alert system Smart LED alert: The LED light, located above the LCD display, flashes when the alcohol concentration level is above the legal limit of 0.5 BAC / 0.05% BAC / 0.08% BAC (depending on the version of your product). It serves as a quick warning alert to the user. 6

7 Note: The permitted legal alcohol level limit may vary depending on the country of your residence. Before using this product make sure you know the legal limits. System message Display Cause and course of action Insufficient or uneven blowing is detected. Repeat steps in How to use. WARRANTY The manufacturer warrants this product against defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of TWO years in EU countries, ONE year for all other international markets from the date of purchase. The warranty covers breakdowns due to manufacturing or design faults; it does not apply in cases such as accidental damage, however caused, wear and tear, negligence, adjustment, modification or unauthorised repairs. 7

Batteriewarnhinweise HAFTUNGSAUSSCHLUSS Das Gerät ist nur zur Freizeitnutzung vorgesehen. Auch wenn die Tests mit dem Gerät einen sicheren Blutalkoholpegel ergeben sollten, handelt es sich nicht um eine Legitimation, sich hinter das Lenkrad zu setzen oder andere Tätigkeiten auszuüben, die nicht unter dem Einfluss von Alkohol durchgeführt werden dürfen. Unterschiede zwischen Personen und andere Faktoren, wie Höhenlage und Temperatur, beeinflussen den Trunkenheitsgrad. Manche Personen können bereits bei geringer Blutalkoholkonzentrationen (BAK) betrunken werden. Eine niedrige BAK bei Gebrauch des Atem-Alkoholtesters bedeutet nicht, dass die Reaktionszeiten einer Person in einem Notfall ausreichen. 12 BESTIMMUNGSGEMÄSSER GEBRAUCH Dieser Alkoholtester von Kyutec dient zur Messung des Alkohols im menschlichen Atem. Dieses qualitativ hochwertige Produkt ist mit einem integrierten Sensor mit erstklassiger Genauigkeit ausgestattet. Die moderne Atem probe n-entnahme technologie misst schnell die Anwesenheit von Alkohol im Atem. Das einzigartige Smart LED / LCD- System zeigt Ihre BAK sowohl numerisch als auch akustisch an. ERWÄGUNGEN VOR DEM GEBRAUCH Vor Tests, nach dem Trinken, Rauchen und Essen mindestens 20 Minuten verstreichen lassen. Nicht bei starkem Wind, in geschlossenen verrauchten Räumen oder in Bereichen, in denen Alkohol vorhanden ist, Tests durchführen. Pusten Sie keinen Zigarettenrauch, keine Nahrungsmittel oder Flüssigkeiten in das Gerät. Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur in einem Temperaturbereich von C. 13 Suchen Sie sich stets einen Fahrer, wenn Sie oder eine andere Person planen, Alkohol zu trinken. Das angezeigte BAK-Ergebnis dient nur zu Referenzzwecken. Die BAK-Änderungen im Laufe der Zeit ist von vielen Faktoren abhängig. Die aktuelle BAK kann sich von der BAK ein paar Minuten später unterscheiden. Sie können die Resultate dieses Produkts nicht vor Gericht verwenden. Hochklappbares Mundstück Zum Gebrauch einfach hochklappen. Smart LED- Anzeige Die LED blinkt, wenn der BAK den Grenzwert überschreitet. 0.2 Zusätzliches Mundstück Auf das aufklappbare Mundstück aufsetzen. Kann für eine gemeinsame Nutzung ausgetauscht werden. Gut ablesbares Smart LCD- Display Das hintergrundbeleuchtete LCD- Display liefert ein schnelles, klares numerisches BAK-Ergebnis. 13

14 Strohhalm Stecken Sie ihn in das zusätzliche Mundstück. Er ist eine andere Möglichkeit, das Mundstück sauber zu halten oder für die gemeinsame Nutzung. DIE ERSTEN SCHRITTE Öffnen Sie den Deckel des Batteriefachs auf der Rückseite des Geräts. Legen Sie 2 Alkali-Batterien (1,5 V, AA ) mit korrekter Polung ein und schließen Sie den Deckel des Batteriefachs. WICHTIG! Minuten warten Nicht trinken Nicht essen Nicht rauchen Warten Sie 20 Minuten vor dem Test, wenn die Testperson getrunken, geraucht oder gegessen hat. Nichtbeachtung der 20 Minuten Wartezeit kann zu ungenauen BAK-Messwerten führen. BEDIENUNGSHINWEISE Mundstück: Klappen Sie das zusammengeklappte Mundstück hoch, das sich auf der linken Seite des Geräts befindet. Setzen Sie ein zusätzliches Mundstück ein. Hinweis: Zum Testen mehrerer Person wurden sechs zusätzliche Mundstücke mitgeliefert. 14

15 Gebrauch eines Strohhalms: Klappen Sie das zusammengeklappte Mundstück hoch und setzen Sie ein zusätzliches Mundstück ein. Stecken Sie anschließend einen Strohhalm (mit ähnlichen Durchmesser wie das zusätzliche Mundstück, nicht mitgeliefert) in das zusätzliche Mundstück. Blow Wait BAC EINSCHALTEN: Drücken Sie zum Einschalten des Geräts die Taste Power. Das Gerät führt das Aufwärmen des Sensors und einen automatischen Reinigungsprozess durch. Der Timer zählt von 99 bis 0 herunter. BEREIT: Warten Sie, bis RDY (Fertig) mit einem einzelnen Signalton als Hinweis angezeigt wird, dass das Gerät betriebsbereit ist. PUSTEN: Pusten Sie 5 Sekunden lang gleichmäßig in das Mundstück oder den Strohhalm, BIS ein Signalton ertönt. Dies ist das Signal, dass der Test abgeschlossen ist. Das Gerät analysiert die Atemprobe und zeigt die gemessenen Blutalkoholkonzentration (BAK) auf dem LCD-Display an. Je nach Version Ihres Produkts, wird der BAK-Wert in BAK / % BAK / mg/l angezeigt. Erneuter Test: Schalten Sie einfach das Gerät aus und schalten Sie es wieder ein, um einen erneuten Test durchzuführen. Es ist ratsam, mindestens 1 Minute zu warten, bis Sie bei mehreren Tests das genaueste Ergebnis erhalten. 15

16 Alarmsystem Smart LED-Alarm: Die LED über dem LCD- Display blinkt, wenn sich die Blutalkoholkonzentration über der gesetzlich zugelassenen Grenze von 0,5 BAK / 0,05% BAK / 0,08% BAK liegt (je nach Produktversion). Sie dient als eine Schnellwarnung für den Benutzer. Hinweis: Die gesetzlich zulässige Promillegrenze kann je nach dem Land abweichen, in dem Sie leben. Machen Sie sich vor Gebrauch dieses Produkts mit den gesetzlichen Grenzen vertraut. Systemmeldung Display Ursache und Vorgehensweise Unzureichendes oder ungleichmäßiges Pusten erkannt. Wiederholen Sie die Schritte unter Bedienungshinweise. Der Sensor ist nicht bereit (Sn) und das Gerät muss einen weiteren Aufwärm- / automatischen Reinigungs- Vorgang durchführen. Wiederholen Sie die Schritte unter Bedienungshinweise. Das Gerät erkennt eine sehr hohe Blutalkohol konzentration (über 4,0 BAK / 0,40% BAK / 2,00mg/l). 16

Avertissements liés à la batterie STIPULATION D EXONÉRATION Cet appareil est exclusivement conçu pour une utilisation récréative. Même si le résultat du test effectué avec l'appareil indique un niveau d'alcool dans le sang ne présentant pas de danger, il ne constitue cependant en aucun cas une légitimation ou une autorisation officielle à prendre le volant ou à se livrer à toute activité incompatible avec la consommation de boissons alcoolisées. Les réactions à la consommation d'alcool varient selon les personnes. D'autres facteurs, tels que l'altitude et la température de l'air, influent également sur le degré d'intoxication. Certaines personnes peuvent être en état d'ébriété, bien que présentant un faible niveau d'alcoolémie. Un faible niveau d'alcoolémie détecté par un éthylotest ne garantit pas que les réflexes d'une personne seront optimaux en cas de situation d'urgence. 22 UTILISATION PRÉVUE Cet éthylotest Kyutec est conçu pour mesurer le taux d'alcool dans l'haleine humaine. Ce produit de haute qualité est pourvu d'un capteur intégré d'une précision exceptionnelle. Sa technologie avancée d'échantillonnage d'haleine permet de mesurer rapidement la présence d'alcool dans l'haleine. Son système intelligent LED / LCD unique indique votre CAS (Concentration d'alcool dans le Sang), à la fois par l'affichage du taux et par l'émission d'un signal sonore. FACTEURS À PRENDRE EN COMPTE AVANT UTILISATION Avant de procéder à un test, accordezvous un délai de 20 minutes après avoir mangé, bu ou fumé. Évitez de procéder au test par grand vent ou dans une pièce fermée, saturée de fumée ou contenant de l'alcool. Ne soufflez pas de fumée de cigarette et ne projetez pas de nourriture ou de liquide sur l'appareil. N'utilisez l'appareil que dans une plage de température allant de 10 à 40 C. Une utilisation en dehors des limites de cette plage pourrait avoir une influence sur les résultats obtenus. Pour une précision optimale des résultats, il est recommandé de procéder au recalibrage de l'appareil tous les six mois ou tous les 300 tests. Contactez votre revendeur pour de plus amples informations. Afin de protéger le capteur, ne rangez pas l'appareil dans un endroit l'exposant à des conditions extrêmes. Ne considérez pas cet appareil comme un outil susceptible de déterminer votre aptitude à utiliser un véhicule ou une machine. Ne conduisez pas après avoir bu et veillez à ce que votre entourage en fasse 22

23 de même. Pensez toujours à désigner à l'avance un conducteur lorsque vous ou une autre personne consommez de l'alcool. Le résultat d'alcoolémie affiché ne doit être pris en compte qu'à titre indicatif. L'alcoolémie se modifie au fil du temps, en fonction de facteurs divers et nombreux. Elle peut présenter des différences significatives, en l'espace de quelques minutes. Les résultats obtenus à l'aide de ce produit n'ont aucune valeur juridique. 24 Paille Insérez la paille dans l'embout supplémentaire. La paille est une option alternative visant à maintenir l'embout propre ou permettant une utilisation partagée. 0.2 MISE EN ROUTE Retirez le couvercle du compartiment à piles, situé à l'arrière de l'appareil. Insérez 2 piles alcalines AA 1,5 V en respectant la polarité, puis remettez en place le couvercle du compartiment à piles. IMPORTANT! Attendre 20 minutes Ne pas boire Ne pas manger Ne pas fumer Avant de procéder au test, respectez un délai de 20 minutes après que la personne testée a fini de manger, boire ou fumer. Le non-respect de ce délai de 20 minutes peut affecter la précision des lectures d'alcoolémie. MODE D EMPLOI Bec : Soulevez l'embout plié situé sur le côté gauche de l'appareil. Fixez un embout supplémentaire. Remarque : Six embouts supplémentaires sont fournis, afin de pouvoir tester plusieurs personnes. 24

25 Utilisation d'une paille : Soulevez l'embout plié et insérez un embout supplémentaire. Insérez ensuite une paille (non livrée) d'un diamètre comparable à celui de l'embout supplémentaire dans celui-ci. Blow Wait BAC MISE SOUS TENSION : Appuyez sur le bouton d alimentation pour mettre l appareil sous tension. L appareil lance la mise en route du capteur et le processus de réinitialisation. Le minuteur effectue un compte à rebours de 99 à 0. READY (PRÊT) : Attendez que l indicateur «Rdy» (Prêt) apparaisse, un signal sonore unique indiquera que l appareil est prêt à l utilisation.
