1 1 1, 2 1, 2 1 A Proposal of Ambulance Scheduling System Based on Electronic Triage Tag Teruhiro Mizumoto, 1 Weihua Sun, 1, 2 Keiichi Yasumoto 1, 2 and Minoru Ito 1 For effective life-saving in MCI (Mass Casualty Incident), it is important to accurately judge the injury severity of each victim, and quickly carry him/her to the appropriate hospital for treatment. In this paper, we propose an ambulance scheduling system that maximizes the overall life-saving rate for all victims. In the proposed system, we assume that we can collect the vital information such as the pulse and SPO2 of each victim with the electronic triage tag attached to him/her and decide the injury severity. Our system makes the schedule of available ambulances with the carrying order of victims that maximizes the overall life-saving rate. For this purpose, the system decides an appropriate hospital and the carrying order for each victim based on (1) the hospital information on capacity, acceptable injury types, and transportation time from the incident spot, and (2) the expected survival probability for elapsed time estimated by the injury severity. We formulate the ambulance scheduling problem and propose a heuristic algorithm that derives the sub-optimal solution. 1.
