The fault, dipping to the west and northwest, was traced about 800 m along strike. Reverse slip produced vertical displacement of m. Landslides and building damage occurred in the northern and northwestern area of the fault. 3 活断層研究 17号 1998年9月3日岩手県内陸北部の地震に伴う地震断層 第3図 11 雫石町篠崎付近に出現した地震断層 1998 年 9 月 5 日岩手県警ヘリコプターより撮影 第4図 水田に生じた地震断層による変位 手前 西側 が隆起側 第2図 地震断層の位置 P を付けた番号は レベル測量を行った測線位置を 番 号のみは人工構造物の破損が認められた箇所を示す では 前述のような明瞭な破断面を伴ったスラストが やはりミ型に雁行配列し これらのスラストの間を北西 隆起の撓曲帯が連結するという構造をなす 第 9 図 A 発電所より南の水田では明瞭な破断面は認められず 撓曲 のみが認められる この撓曲も雁行に配列するが 配列 様式は杉型である 調査を行っていた期間は稲刈りが終了 第5図 県道 葛根田川左岸 に生じたプレッシャーリッジ とガードレールの変形 場所は第 2 図 42 地点 する前であったので これらの雁行状の配列は稲穂の変位 として認められた 第 9 図 B および C は地震の翌々日の 9 稲の列が撓曲帯を挟んで 10-20cm 左横ずれ変位している 月 5 日にヘリコプターから撮影した写真において稲穂の変 斉内川より南の町道と断層の交差部では ミ型に配列した 位に基づき作成したものである また これらの水田の 北東方向の 2 条のプレッシャーリッジが認められる 第 2

4 12 越谷 第6図 1998 信ほか 路面上に生じたプレッシャーリッジ 場所は第 2 図 42 地点で 第 5 図の道路中央部に対応 第8図 葛根田川左岸の県道にみられるプレッシャーリッジ のスケッチ 場所は第 2 図 42 地点 第7図 U 字溝の短縮変形 短縮量は N87゚E 方向に 22cm 場所は第 2 図 20 地点 図の 2 5 第 1 表 斉内川より南の水田では北部に比べ 撓曲に明瞭な配列様式は認められず 撓曲の中にはドーム 状の隆起帯として認められるものがある 第 9 図 D E 第1表 地震断層周辺に見られる主な地表変状 変 位 垂直変位は第 2 図に示す測線沿いに測定した 測定は P1 から P 2 0 までがトータルステーションを用い P 2 1 から P 2 7 までをオートレベルを用いて測定した P 2 P 3 P 7 P 9 P 1 0 P P P P 1 5 P 1 6 P 2 1 P 2 2 P 2 5 P 2 6 および P 2 7 には 上盤側に幅 m の範囲で数 c m 十数 c m 隆起した撓曲が認められる 第 1 0 図 また これらの撓曲を除いた上盤側と下盤側 の垂直変位は最大で 3 2 c m 最小で 2 5 c m である 第 1 1 図 P25 および P26 はそれぞれ 37cm および 38cm の垂直 変位を示すが 周囲に比べ 変位が突出して大きくなって いる 第 10 図 第 11 図 地震前での圃場整備が終了した 頃の空中写真からは明瞭な段差は認められず また 地元 の人の話によっても元々段差はなかったという話である しかしながら 現地での観察ではこの段差を境に植生が異 なっていたこと 前述の休耕田のように上盤と下盤の境界
