1 * * Structural Performance on Reinforced Concrete and Precast Concrete Columns Using Ultra High Strength Materials by Toshio MATSUMOTO and Hiroshi NISHIHARA Abstract In this experimental study, in order to clarify the structural performance of RC and precast concrete (PCa) columns with ultra-high strength materials, anti-symmetrical cyclic lateral and varying axial loads, corresponding to the axial load acting on the exterior column in a lower story, were applied to the six specimen columns. Test results on the RC and PCa columns, using 80N/mm 2 or 120N/mm 2 design standard compressive strength and high strength reinforcement, were subsequently reported. The current design codes turned out to be applicable for evaluating the bending and deformation capacities of the RC and PCa columns with ultrahigh strength materials.
