1 Decomposition and Separation Characteristics of Organic Mud in Kaita Bay by Alkaline and Acid Water TOUCH NARONG Katsuaki KOMAI, Masataka IMAGAWA, Narong TOUCH and Tadashi HIBINO Aggravation of water qualities and tidal flat environment due to deposited organic mud become serious problems in recent years. The methods to handle the organic mud, especially, decomposition method, have been remarked. In this study, we investigate the decomposition and separation characteristics of organic mud under the effects of alkaline and acid water. It was found that particle size of organic mud becomes small (organic matter decomposed) under acid water, and organic matter was not decomposed under alkaline water. However, alkaline water could accelerate the elution of dissolved organic matter from organic mud. 1. 4 994 土木学会論文集 B2 海岸工学 Vol. 66 No ることから 有機物が分解 あるいは有機物の分離が起 これば 有機泥の粒度分布 粒径 は変化しなければな らない 図-7 に実験開始から 24 時間後の有機泥の粒度分 布の変化 図-8 に実験開始から 24 時間後の分解剤を混合 する前後の有機泥の顕微鏡写真 a 混合前 b Case3 c Case5 を示した 酸化剤を混合 Case 5 した場合 には大径粒子が小径粒子に分解されている 酸性溶液を 混合する前後の粒度分布が大きく変化し 顕微鏡写真 図-8 c から粒子形状の変化が確認でき 有機泥に付 着した有機物が分解されたことがわかる 強アルカリ性を示すアルカリ溶液 Case 3 を混合し 図-5 有機泥に含まれる炭素 POC の時間的変化 酸性溶液を用いた場合は POC が大きく減少 た場合には ph の低下が小さく 図-3 この ph の低下 は土粒子に付着した有機物を分解していない 顕微鏡写 真より アルカリ剤の混合前 図-8 a に比較して Case 3 図-8 b の粒子形状は変化しているが 酸化剤 を混合した場合ほど小径粒子が増加しておらず 粒度分 布測定時に照射される光波では捉えることのできない網 目構造を持つ物質によって個々の粒子が結合していると 考えられる アルカリ剤はこの網目構造を融解させる働 きを持っており ph の低下は網目構造が破壊されること によって生じていると推定できる 図-6 有機泥に含まれる窒素(PON)の時間的変化 5 混合溶液のアンモニア性窒素と溶存態有機炭素 有機泥が分解されると 有機泥に含まれる窒素が好気 性消化によって 有機窒素として液中に放出され 他の 生物によってアンモニア性窒素とリン酸塩に変換される Matsuda ら 1988 図-9 は混合水溶液のアンモニア性 窒素を示している この図から Case 5 では 混合溶液に アンモニア性窒素が大きく増加しており 有機泥の分解 によって放出されていることを確認できた 図-10 は実験開始から混合溶液中に有機泥から溶出し た溶存態有機炭素 DOC 量を示している 図では Case 5 の結果は右軸に対応している アルカリ溶液による 図-7 実験開始から24 時間後の有機泥粒度分布の変化 Case1 とCase3 は粒度分布を変化させない DOC の溶出は酸性溶液による DOC の溶出量の 1/8 である が アルカリ溶液中でもDOC が増加しており 溶存態有 機物の分離があることが確認できる ph が高い Case 3 では DOC の増加量が大きく 強アル 図-8 カリ性によって溶存態有機物の分離が促進されると考え られる また Case 5 の DOC が大きく増加するのは 有 機泥に含まれる溶存態有機物のみならず 有機泥粒子に 酸化剤 アルカリ剤を混合前と混合後24 時間経過後の有機泥の顕微鏡写真 a 混合前 b Case3 c Case5 酸化剤 アルカリ剤の混合前後で粒子径や形状が異なる
