1 3 GIS/VR Kyoto virtual time space Keiji YANO, Tomoki NAKAYA, Yuzuru ISODA, Tatsunori KAWASUMI and Yutaka TAKASE (Ritsumeikan University) Abstract: The purpose of our research is to restore the whole city of historical city, Kyoto, in a virtual reality space. Our goal is to construct Kyoto Virtual Time Space in which we can walk through the streets of Kyoto from the olden days to the present and to the future on a computer display. The project involves 3D modelling of the present day Kyoto, and then restoring the city back to the pre-war period and to the mid-edo era. Highly efficient GIS and VR technology are used throughout the project; (a) to store location and attributes of current buildings including Machiya, shrines and temples; (b) to archive and geo-reference any materials including Yamahoko at the Gion festival, as well as cadastral maps, street photos and aerial photos; and (c) to estimate and simulate landscape changes over the periods using aforementioned materials GIS 3 Longley et al GIS 3 GIS VR 3 GIS/VR ) WWW Dodge et al. ここで図4 大正元年地籍図の 2 次元 GIS 化は寄棟の建物は京町家から除外することにしたこのように空中写真からの情報のみに頼る 3 過去の京町家の空間的分布京町家の判読には限界がありこうした点を様々ここでは空中写真の判読から過去の京町家のな資料から補わなければならない建物の側面の空間的分布を特定する京都市都心部の空中写真

5 そこで現在の町丁界の折れ点に合わす形で地籍図と現在の地形図住宅地図との重ね合わせを大路小路の重ね合わせと同様に ArcMap のジオリファレンス機能を用いて行ったそしてさらに重ね合わせた後地籍図の一筆ごとにポリゴンを作成したこれは土地の境界であり当時の家屋形 1948 昭和 23 年状とは異なるが現在ほとんどの町家が消滅した四条通の景観を復原する際に手掛りとなる図 4 図5 空中写真による京町家判読一般的に京町家の屋根の形態は平入りの瓦葺のものが多くを占めることから空中写真による京町家の特定はこの 2 つの指標を基準に行った京町家以外の建築物として屋上が平面である中高層建築物の判別は容易であり京町家との区別は容易であったそれに対して寄棟の瓦屋根の建物は西洋風の建築物日本家屋京町家の一部にも存在し判別が困難であるためここで図4 大正元年地籍図の 2 次元 GIS 化は寄棟の建物は京町家から除外することにしたこのように空中写真からの情報のみに頼る 3 過去の京町家の空間的分布京町家の判読には限界がありこうした点を様々ここでは空中写真の判読から過去の京町家のな資料から補わなければならない建物の側面の空間的分布を特定する京都市都心部の空中写真形態に関する情報や建物の用途に関する情報としは米軍国土地理院民間企業などによって数て過去の風景写真や昭和 30 年代から存在してい年ごとに撮影されている本研究では 1948(昭和る京都吉田地図株式会社の住宅地図などがある 23)年の米軍撮影空中写真 1961(昭和 36)年の国京町家の判別はこうした情報も参考にしながら土地理院撮影空中写真 1974(昭和 49)年の国土地行った河角ほか 2003 理院撮影空中写真 1987(昭和 62)年国土地理院撮影空中写真 2000(平成 12)年中日本航空撮影空中 Ⅴ 写真の 53 年間 13 年ごと 5 期の空中写真について景観コンテンツの 3 次元 VR モデルここでは 2 次元 GIS 上に特定された景観を構成するコンテンツの 3 次元 VR モデル化について判読を実施した 2) 空中写真の判読によって京町家の正確な空間的概観する現在の建物現在そして過去の京町家分布を特定するためにはまず空中写真のゆがの 3 次元 VR モデルを構築するとともに時代をみを取り除く幾何補正の作業を行いオルソ画像通じて存在するものとして祇園祭の山鉾の 3 次を作成する必要がある本研究では空中写真の元モデルを構築した矢野ほか 2003 なお過去の景観復原の事例としては江戸のスキャニングの後 ArcMap のジオリファレンス機能を用いて幾何補正を行った京町家の判読は古地図を地形図と重ねた清水ほか 1999 や大坂 ArcMap 上で表示された補正済みの空中写真画像の元禄空間の復原を行った奥住吉川 2000 上にて行い京町家の家屋形状をトレースしポまた江戸時代の妻籠の街道筋の景観復原を行っリゴン化した図 5 た Suzuki and Chikatsu(2002)などの研究がある 101 5
