One year later, she joined a jazz orchestra in her hometown. As a junior high school student, she got an opportunity to attend a summer program at Berklee College of Music in Boston. The program was for talented young musicians from all over the world. After graduating from senior high school in 2011, she entered Berklee to study jazz. I : Did you enjoy your high school life? E : Yes, I did. I had a lot of fun. I enjoyed chatting with my classmates. I studied English very hard because I dreamed of studying jazz in America, which is the home of jazz. I : What did you learn through playing with musicians in America? E : I learned that playing music and talking in English have a lot in common. For example, in both cases, we express our emotions through rhythm and intonation. Therefore, I want to become more fluent in English. I : How has music changed you?
