Apr. 3 Norbert Singer, Courtney Wilkowski Shadow Stations This year our 8th, 9th & 10th graders will re-enact the crucifixion and death of Our Lord with the live Shadow Stations on Wed., April 6 at 6:45pm. We invite you to walk with Christ down the agonizing path to His Crucifixion. From the condemnation to the Resurrection, you will feel His Mother s tears and see His pain. What is unique about this dramatic re-enactment is that only the shadows of the actors/actresses are seen on the screen. Shadow Stations is a combination of an original script and music which creates a lifelike atmosphere as you watch Jesus carry His Cross to Calvary. You will be moved to tears. Dates to Remember Sun. Event in Bevent Raffle Tickets: Raffle Tickets for the cash raffle and ATV raffle are in the Church entrance. Please pick up your tickets when you come to Church. Country Store: Would you like to run a Country Store with all homemade/handmade items? If so, we have an opening for you at our Picnic this summer. Cherry Tree It s not too early to begin bringing prizes for this summer s Cherry Tree. Containers for prizes are located in both Church entrances. Mini-Raffle Prizes: You might also want to take advantage of sales to find great mini-raffle and super mini-raffle prizes. They can be dropped off anytime. Please label them as to which mini-raffle you would like them given to, along with your name. Ice Cream Buckets: We need ice cream buckets for the picnic mini-raffle. Outdoor Concerts this summer Mark your calendars for our outdoor concerts again this summer: Tues: June 15 Band TBD Food by Peplin 4-H Tues., July 12 Band KT Country Food by Rosary Society Tues., July 26 Wayne Cebula Food Open Tues., Aug. 9, Band TBD Food Open Tues., Aug. 23. 3 News in Our Parish Soup Suppers Come and join us for the next 2 weeks between 5:30-6:30pm for delicious soup, sandwiches, salads and desserts. A delicious, different soup each week. This coming Wednesday will be Jack & Sue s delicious chili compliments of Bob Stoltz for chili ingredients and Jack & Sue for making the chili. Come and join us for a delicious meal and wonderful fellowship. To purchase soup after the Soup Supper please bring your own quart (or smaller) jars. Desserts are always welcome. You will also have a chance to put your name in for a door prize. One lucky winner each week will receive a $15 voucher to Texas Roadhouse. Thank you for supporting our Soup Suppers. Living a Life of Joy All women are invited to a day with Kelly Wahlqust (Founder of Wine, Women in the New Evangelization) on Sat.,. April 23 from -3:00pm. Convention will be held at St. Vincent De Paul Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Day includes Mass, breakfast, two presentations by guest speaker, and luncheon. Copies of registration forms are in the entrance. Sponsored by the Diocesan Council of Catholic Woman. Lion s All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast Sun., April 3. 8am-Noon. $10 (12 & older); $5 (ages 6-12). Potato & regular Pancakes, Sausages, Applesauce, Juice, Desserts, Milk, Coffee, etc. Great mini & large raffles. Jesus Lives Celebration Sat., April 9. If anyone would like to help with the games, cookie decorating, face painting, or the breakfast for the children, please call Jill Walkowski or Sr. Mary Ellen. Prayer for Peace in the World St. John XXIII s Prayer for Peace: Lord Jesus Christ, who are called the Prince of Peace, who are yourself our peace and reconciliation, who often said, Peace to you, grant us peace. Make all men and women witnesses of truth, justice and love. Banish from their hearts whatever might endanger peace. Enlighten our rulers that they may guarantee and defend the great gif of Peace. May all peoples of the earth become as brothers and sisters. May longed-for peace blossom forth and reign always over us all. Through Christ Our Lord. Amen. That is thanks to the many volunteers who take turns cleaning monthly and to Rita Betker for organizing the cleaners.
