3 1.2 Installation procedure Before Starting the Work - Make the following selections in the host machine's service mode, and set '3':COPIER>OPTION>INT- FACE>IMG-CONT. (This way, the appropriate IP address will automatically be setup for communication between the machine and its host machine.) - Be sure that the back of the machine is at least 200mm away from any wall as shown Installing to the Host Machine Installing to the Host Machine 1) Removed the cable from clamping. - Clamp 5 places. 200 mm min. Machine Host machine F Turning Off the Main Power (rear) (front) F-1-2 2) Remove the upper rear cover. - 4 screws (take off). - 3 screws [3](loose). Turning Off the Main Power When turning off the main power, be sure to go through the following in strict sequence to protect the machine's hard disk: Hold down on the power switch on the control panel for 3 sec or more. Operate on the touch panel according to the shutdown sequence indicated so that the main power switch may be turned off. [3] Turn off the main power switch. [4] Disconnect the power cable. [3] F-1-3 3) Remove the controller box cover screws. Take care not to drop the screws. 3

4 6) Using the screws you removed previously, mount the included Open I/F PCB. F-1-4 F-1-6 4) Unscrew two screws.(keep the removed screws for later.) 7) Mount the covers using the steps used to remove them but in reverse. - controller box cover - Upper rear cover (of the host machine) - Mount the cables. 8) Mount the two mounting bracket with two stepped screws(m3) and four screws(m3)(w/ washer)[3]. 5) Remove the R-A board. [3] Ask the user to store the R-A board in an appropriate location. [3] F-1-7 F-1-5 4

5 9) Fit the 2 included stepped screws(m4) to the mounting bracket, and hook the unit. 12) Using the Ethernet Crossover cable, connect the unit and the host machine. F ) Using 4 RS tightening screws(m4)(w/washer), attach the Unit to the mounting bracket. When the Ethernet Crossover cable is connected, the position of connected port is noted. For the unit, there are two connected connectors for Ethernet. The connector for the Ethernet Crossover cable is at a position far from the USB port. The connector that becomes it next to the USB port is for the network. 6 1.2.4 Setting Up the Machine 1) Press (=>) displayed at upper right on the LCD of the connecting device. 2) At the Control Panel, press [Printer]tab. 3) Press [Printer Status/Settings]. F-1-12 Printer 13) Connect one end of the power cable to the unit and the other end to the power outlet. Printer Status/ / Settings / F ) At the Languages Setup screen, select the name of the language you want to use, and then select OK. Wait a few minutes. F ) Connect the host machine's power cable. 15) Turn on the host machine. Input of password When setting it up, the password input screen is displayed. Select [yes] so that the system will be stored in memory. Unless you have made appropriate settings in the correct order and saved them, you will not be able to go on to the next item. 8 MEMO: When there is a difference in the network setting between Main body and PS Unit, the system will detect the difference to change the setting and a following message will appear on the bottom of the LCD of Main body. [Turn off the main power switch(on the main unit's bottom side)] is displayed on the LCD downside. When the display is confirmed, turned off the power supply according to the following procedure. Operate as instructed in the shut-down sequence screen. Turn off the main power switch. The host machine is turned on for 45 seconds later after it turns it off. 1.3 Checking the Operation Checking the Operation After Making the Settings Print out a test page and a settings page as follows to make sure that all settings have correctly been made on the machine and its host machine and that all connections are normal: 1) Press (=>) displayed at upper right on the LCD of the connecting device. 2) At the Control Panel, press [Printer]. 3) Press [Printer Status/Settings]. 11 1.2 設置手順接続前の準備本体のサービスモード COPIER>OPTION>INT-FACE>IMG-CONT を 3 に設定しておくこと ( 本体と本機間の通信用 IP アドレスを自動で設定するモード ) 本体への取付け設置手順 1) 後上カバーのワイヤサドル 5 箇所を開きケーブル 2 本を上部へ逃がす下図のように本機を設置するスペースを確保する本機の背面から 20mm 以上のスペースが必要である F-1-3 F 本体の電源 OFF 2) 後上カバーを外すビス 4 本 ( 外す ) ビス [3] 3 本 ( 緩める ) 主電源の切り方主電源を切る際は本製品のハードディスクを保護するため以下の手順に従い行うこと 1) 操作部電源スイッチを 3 秒以上押す 2) シャットダウンシーケンスの画面表示に従いタッチパネルを操作し主電源スイッチをOFF できる状態にする 3) 電源スイッチを OFF する 4) 電源ケーブル ( コンセント用 ) を外す [3] F-1-4 3) コントローラボックスカバーを外すビス 14 本ビスを落下させないこと 11

12 6) 手順 4) で外したビスを使用して同梱のオープン I/F 回路基板を取付ける F-1-5 F-1-8 4)R-A BOARD を固定しているビス 2 本を外す 7) 取外した逆の手順でカバー類を取付けるコントローラボックスカバー後上カバーケーブルをワイヤサドルで固定する 8) 後カバーに取付け金具を段ビス (M3)2 本とビス (M3)[3]4 本で固定する F-1-6 5) R-A BOARD を外す [3] [3] 取外した R-A BOARD はユーザに渡し保管して頂くこと F-1-9 F

13 9) 同梱の段ビス (M4)2 本を取付け金具に取付け PS プリントサーバユニットを掛ける 12) クロスイーサネットケーブルで PS プリントサーバユニットと本体を接続する F-1-10 クロスイーサネットケーブルを接続するとき接続ポートの位置に注意するユニットにはイーサネットケーブルのコネクタが 2 個ある本体に接続するためのコネクタは USB ポートから離れている側である USB ポートの隣にあるコネクタはネットワーク用なので誤って接続しないように注意する 10) 同梱の RS タイトビス (M4)4 本で PS プリントサーバユニットを固定するプリントサーバ接続パネル DL DIAG VIDEO F ) 通信ケーブルで PS プリントサーバユニットと本体を接続する F-1-13 F

14 1.2.4 本機の設定 1 ) 本体の液晶表示部上の右上の矢印タブを押す 2 ) 液晶表示部左上のプリントサーバタブを押す 3 ) プリントサーバの状況/ 設定ボタンを押す F ) 電源ケーブルの一方を PS プリントサーバユニットにもう一方をコンセントに接続する F-1-16 F-1-15 パスワードの入力設置時にパスワード入力画面が表示される下記パスワードを入力すると設定画面に入れる Fiery.1 14) 本体の電源ケーブルを接続する 15) 本体の電源を ON にするその後自動的に設定メニューに入るので最低サーバ設定ネットワーク設定プリンタ設定の各項目を順番に選択し各々データを保存する詳細はユーザマニュアルの設定管理を参照する 14

15 ネットワーク設定 : ポート設定プロトコル設定サービス設定を行う F-1-17 例えばサーバ設定の各項目を設定していくと最後に変更の保存をするかどうかを選択する画面が表示されるのではいを選択するとその時の設定を保存することができる各項目を順番に選択して保存しないと次の項目を設定できないサーバ設定 : サーバ名の設定等を行う F-1-19 プリンタ設定 : 印刷キューの設定を行う PS_Server F-1-20 F ) 設定メニューの閉じるを選択するその後自動的に再起動が行われる 15

16 MEMO: 本体と PS プリントサーバユニットのネットワークに関係する設定に相違がある場合はシステムが設定変更を検知するため本体の液晶表示下部に下記メッセージが表示される本体の主電源を入れ直してください表示を確認したらシャットダウンシーケンスの画面表示に従い主電源スイッチを OFF する OFF 後 45 秒より後に本体の主電源を ON する 1.3 設置後の動作確認設定後の動作確認以下の手順でテストページ設定ページを出力し接続機器と本機の接続および本機の設定を確認する 1 ) 接続機器の液晶表示部上の右上の矢印タブを押し次にプリントサーバタブを押す 2 ) プリントサーバの状況/ 設定ボタンを押す F
