In this operation manual, most operations are explained based on the use of the remote control, not the main unit.s While the menu screen is displayed, the channel selection buttons on the main unit work the same way as the cursor up ( u ) and down ( d ) buttons on the remote control, and the volume buttons ( ) buttons on the main unit work the same way as the cursor left ( l ) and right ( r ) buttons on the remote control and the input select button works the same way as the entry change confirmation ( m ) button on the remote control.

Sleep Timer Select the desired remaining time period after whict the TV set automatically turns off and enters the standby mode. Enter/Confirm Confirm a selected setting or menu item. Return Go back to the previous screen. Mute Temporarily turn off the sound. Sound select Select the desired sound mode Volume up()/down() Adjust the sound volume Channel select Select the desired channel Default value are VHF112ch. Picture Flap Rotates the display in every direction Display Display or turn off the channel call, etc. AV mode Select the desired screen mode, sound. Optical picture control The brightness of a screen is switched. Cursor Use to select a menu item, etc. Menu Displays the TV menu. Input select Select the desired input mode. CATV When selecting a CATV channel, press this button first. Image on/off Display or turn off the image. Channel up( )/down( ) Select next higher or lower channel Menu(J), volume up(t)/down(y), Channel up(g)/down(h) and Input select(i) on the remote control have the same functions as the same buttons on the main unit. Fundamentally, this operation manual provides a description based on operation using the remote control.
Main unit (Front view) Power LAMP Main power on/off switch On-timer LAMP Turn on the main power. (Press the main power on/off switch on the top side of the main unit.) When pressed on, the Power LAMP will light green. You can turn TV on (the Power LAMP will light green) and off (The Power LAMP will light red) by pressing the Power button on the remote control. * Remote Control Select a channel (regular TV or BS channel). Use the channel selection button or the direct channel selection button to select a desired channel. The direct channel selection button corresponds to the channel selection numbers. Temporarily turn off the sound. When pressed, the volume level becomes 0. Press again to return the volume level to the previous level. Channel display Adjust the volume. The volume indicator will appear on the screen showing the volume level with numerals (maximum:60) and a bar. Select a CATV. <Ex.> Selecting channel 23 (1) Press the CATV button. (2) Press the direct channel selection button to choose a desired channel. Note 2 3 (1) (2) Press to select the desired input. Press the button. (See page 53 for detail.) Video 2 will not appear on the screen when the setting of the video 2 is monitor output. (See page 75 for detail.) Channel display CATV broadcast reception CATV broadcast can be received only in areas where CATV broadcasting services are available. To watch CATV channels, you need to subscribe to your local CATV station. To watch (and record) charged, scrambled programs, you need to connect a home terminal adapter to the TV set. For further details, consult with your local CATV service provider. With LC-20S1, LC-15S1, and LC-13S1, you can select channels between C13 and C38 for CATV.
