Instructions To Avoid Accidents and Breakdowns P7 Do not dry the unit with a dryer or a heater. Do not leave the unit in a place with high temperatures. Do not clean the unit except with mild, diluted soap solution. Do not dry the unit under the sun with the frame opened. Keep the unit in a place where humidity level is low. Recharging P10 Caution: Be sure to use a 100~240 V AC power supply. : Do not recharge this shaver with anything other than the special charging adapter provided. In addition, do not use the special charging adapter to recharge any other appliances. 1 hour recharge A full charge will supply enough power for about 14 shaves (3 minutes per shave). It is time to recharge when LCD display shows 10% or lower. When using outside of Japan, check which plug to be used by referring to the World Voltage and Plug Chart. P36-37 How to use P14 Caution: Before use, be sure to check that the outer foil is not damaged or impaired in anyway. (Such condition may cause injury.) : This shaver is for use only in shaving facial hair. Do not use it for any other purpose (such as cutting head hair, for instance). : When running the shaver on AC power, do not shave using soap and do not wash the shaver with water. : Do not recharge this shaver with anything other than the special charging adapter provided. In addition, do not use the special charging adapter to recharge any other appliances. Connect the shaver to the AC outlet and turn the shaver on. If the shaver does not run, charge it for approximately 1 minute. Using the Trimmer P17 Preparing and Using the Cleaner Recharger P18 Caution: Do not let any water get onto the charging adapter or the cleaner recharger and do not wash them in water. : Do not disconnect the shaver from the cleaner recharger while a course is running that includes a DRY cycle. Fill with water as far as the FULL line. Do not fill with water past the FULL line. (If too much water is poured in, the detergent may overflow.) Install the cleaner cartridge and fill the tank with water. Place the shaver in the cleaner recharger. Select the course ([Cleaning drying recharging course] [Cleaning drying course] [Drying recharging course] [Drying course] [Recharging course] ) When the check lamp appear, replace the cleaner cartridge and the water. 45

46 Rinsing P26 Caution: Do not let any water get onto the charging adapter or the cleaner recharger and do not wash them in water. : When running the shaver on AC power, do not shave using soap and do not wash the shaver with water. : Do not touch the edge (metal part) of the inner blade. We recommend that you rinse clean the foil / blade of your shaver with Exclusive Shaver Cleaner (sold separately) P32 or regular liquid soap (hand soap). Press and hold the on/off switch for longer than two seconds, and rinse under running water or in a basin for a few seconds. Do not use hot water. Switch off the shaver and wipe off excess water. Leave to dry. (The shaver takes less time to dry if the frame is left opened.) Lubricate with Exclusive oil (sold separately). P32 Brush Cleaning P28 Caution: Do not touch the edge (metal part) of the inner blade. : Do not disassemble the outer foil. Replacing shaving head P29 Caution: When replacing, do not press down directly to the outer foil itself. If used everyday, the outer foil may need to be replaced every 1 year and the inner blade every 2 years. Recycling Li-ion battery P38 DANGER: The rechargeable battery is only for use with this shaver. Do not use it for any other purpose. In addition, do not subject the rechargeable battery to any of the following after removing it from the shaver, otherwise overheating, fire or an explosion may occur. Do not leave the battery in places with high temperatures (such as near fires or under the hot sun), and do not overcharge it, place it into fire, heat it, puncture it with sharp objects such as nails, subject it to shocks, disassemble or modify it, carry or store it together with conductive metallic objects or short-circuit the terminals. Caution: Never disassemble the shaver except when disposing it off. Do not short-circuit the positive and negative terminal when the battery is removed out of the unit. C C C 47
