Thai Native Frog (Hoplobatrachus spp.) and lntroduced Frog Molecular genetics tool for species identification of two cultured frog in Thailand and their hybrids were developed using microsatellite DNA marker. Two groups and their hybrids consisting of Thai Native Frog (Hoplobatrachus spp.) and Introduced Frog (Lithobates catesbeianus (Shaw, teoz)) were collected from wild and hatcheries in Thailand. The total of t 6 microsatellite primers developed from Rugose frog and Bullfrog species were screened and five of which namely Hrugo t Hrugoz RcatJz t RcatJ++b and RcatJs+ were exhibited useful pattems for identification of the studied species. Taxonomic key to these two groups using microsatellite marker was presented in this paper. A case studies, in which the hybrid had been used, were included in this paper. The finding from this study could be used as an alternative taxonomic tool for identify this two frog groups especially when the samples are damaged or only small amount of sample available as well as in their hybrids which the taxonomic characters cannot clearly be identified and also could be used to detect genetic contamination of alien species in Thai native frogs species.
