These auditions are required or membershi in the Wind Symhony, Symhonic Band, Collegiate Winds and Symhony Orchestra. University Band does not require an audition or membershi. Visit our website (bands.osu.edu) or inormation regarding membershi in the University Band. Auditions are oen to all students enrolled at The Ohio State University, regardless o major. 2. The audition sign u sheet will be osted on the bulletin board outside the stage door to Weigel Auditorium. This is located on the irst loor o Weigel Hall, 18 College Road. You may sign u or an audition time beginning August 10.. I you cannot audition during the assigned time or your instrument, lease contact Tom Cook (cook.24@osu.edu) to request an alternate audition time. 4. Please reare the material in this acket. Each acket should include the ollowing: a. a age o ーComulsories ア or your instrument. b. Lyrical Etude (Please use your own dynamic and aroriate musical exression. We have removed all written exression markings) c. Etude excerts d. Some studios will have additional requirements, such as orchestral excerts. e. I you are a lutist wanting to audition or Piccolo, lease reare the iccolo excert in addition to the lute material.. Bass Clarinet and Tenor Saxohone music is included in the Clarinet and Saxohone ackets resectively. These materials are ONLY or nonmajors wishing to lay in Collegiate Winds. All clarinet or saxohone majors, as well as non-majors wishing to be considered or Symhonic Band and Wind Symhony, should lay sorano clarinet or alto saxohone. 5. In addition to the reared materials, you will be asked to sight-read.. The audition committee may sto you at any oint in the audition should they eel they have heard enough to make an aroriate ensemble lacement. Please do not be oended.
