Abstract This paper consists of four parts. That ispointing out the importance of analyzing the borders or boundaries of organizationsreviewing the boundaries based on four concepts efficiency, power, competence, and identity by Santos and Eisenhardtextracting the last one i e. the boundaries based on identity from them through logical reasoning, and clarifying the similarities and differences between the boundaries based on identity and the centers of the gravity of organizations.
