However, for the soldiers who were involved in killing and expulsion, the war experience was far more complicated and sad. This lecture explores the social mechanisms that operated on the veterans, silencing and censoring their tales. It also looks into the point in time when these silences began to dissolve, and tries to explain why. 3 152
