By connecting your peripheral devices to the port replicator, you can save yourself the trouble of having to connect and disconnect several cables every time you transport the computer. *1 This port replicator cannot be used for other models. 7 Precautions If a Malfunction or Trouble Occurs, Immediately Stop Use If a Malfunction Occurs, Immediately Unplug the AC Plug and Remove the Unit From This Product This product is damaged A foreign object is inside this product Smoke is emitted An unusual smell is emitted Unusually hot Continuing to use this product while any of the above conditions are present may result in fire or electric shock. If a malfunction or trouble occurs, immediately unplug the AC plug and remove the unit from this product. Then, contact your technical support office for repair. Do Not Touch This Product and Cable When It Starts Thundering Electric shock may result. Do Not Place Containers of Liquid or Metal Objects on Top of This Product If water or other liquid spills, or if paper clips, coins, or foreign matter get inside this product, fire or electric shock may result. If foreign matter has found its way inside, immediately unplug the AC plug and remove this product from the unit. Then contact your technical support office. Do Not Place This Product on Unstable Surfaces If balance is lost, this product may fall over or drop, resulting in an injury. Do Not Keep This Product Wherever There is a Lot of Water, Moisture, Steam, Dust, Oily Vapors, etc. Otherwise, possibly resulting in fire or electric shock. Do Not Leave This Product in High Temperature Environment for a Long Period of Time Leaving this product where it will be exposed to extremely high temperatures such as near fire or in direct sunlight may deform the cabinet and/or cause trouble in the internal parts. Use Only the Specified AC Adaptor With This Product Using an AC adaptor other than the one supplied (supplied with the unit or one sold separately as an accessory) may result in a fire. Do Not Connect a Telephone Line, or a Network Cable Other Than the One Specified, Into the LAN Port If the LAN port is connected to a network such as the ones listed below, a fire or electric shock may result. Networks other than 1000BASE-T, 100BASE-TX or 10BASE-T Phone lines (IP phone (Internet Protocol Telephone), Telephone lines, internal phone lines (onpremise switches), digital public phones, etc.) <Only for model with CD/DVD Drive> Do Not Look Into the CD/DVD Drive Looking directly at the internal laser light source may result in damage to eyesight. <Only for model with CD/DVD Drive> Do Not Use Discs That Are Cracked or Deformed Because the discs rotate at high speeds, damaged discs may break apart causing injury. Discs that are not round and discs that have been repaired using adhesives are similarly dangerous, and so should not be used. E 7

8 E Precautions Drive Handling Care <Only for model with CD/DVD Drive> Do not expose the drive to excessive smoke that may leave a residue, e.g., oil smoke, or tobacco smoke. Doing so can shorten the life of the drive lens. We recommend cleaning the drive lens with an air puffer used for camera lenses. (Do not use any spray-type of lens cleaning products.) When opening/closing the tray When the computer is on, use the eject button ( page 14) or eject through Windows. When inserting or removing a disc, be careful not to touch the lens and other parts of the laser pickup. Do not leave the tray open and do not touch the lens and other parts of the laser pickup. The laser pickup and disc can become dusty in some conditions. It may cause malfunction in reading or writing. Do not apply excessive force to the tray in the open position. Never insert a foreign object such as a paper clip into the drive. Doing so may cause malfunction. Do not place items other than discs on the tray. While the drive is being accessed Do not open the tray or move the computer while the drive is being accessed. Doing so could cause the disc to shift position and this may damage the disc, or cause the drive to malfunction. In addition, after running an application involving access to a disc, close the application before opening the tray or removing the disc. Disc Handling Care <Only for model with CD/DVD Drive> Before using a disc, carefully read the operating/handling instructions and package of the disc. If the discs are not handled appropriately, they may become dirty or scratched. Furthermore the writing speed may get slower and the data may not be correctly written on or read from the disc. Other damage may cause a drive failure. Note the following precautions. Do not touch the disc surface (the side with no printing). Keep the disc surface clean and free from dirt, dust, fingerprints and scratches. Do not write on the surface of the disc with a ballpoint pen or other writing instrument. Do not attach stickers to discs. Do not drop, bend, or place heavy objects on top of discs. Do not place or store discs in locations exposed to heat, direct sunlight, humidity or dust. If a disc is brought from a cold to a warm location, condensation may form on the disc. For read-only discs, wipe off the condensation using a soft, dry, lint-free cloth before using the disc. For recordable/rewritable discs, wait until the condensation dries. When not using discs, keep them in their protective cases or cartridges. To clean discs <For read-only discs> Wipe discs with a dry, soft cloth from the center toward the edge. If discs get very dirty, wipe with a moist, soft cloth from the center toward the edge, then wipe again with a dry cloth to take up remaining moisture. <For recordable/rewritable discs> Use the recordable/rewritable disc cleaner to clean these discs. Do not use a cloth, CD cleaners or any other such cleaners under any circumstances. How to hold a disc 8

9 Names and Functions of Parts The port replicator allows your peripheral devices to function exactly as if they were connected directly to the computer. (Refer to Description of Parts in the Operating Instructions accompanying the computer.) CAUTION Do not touch the port replicator connector, pins or terminals of the port replicator. Rear External Display Port: Connect the external display compatible with analog interface. esata port: esata Connector for esata compatible. USB Ports 2a / 2b / 2c: These can be used only when the AC adaptor is connected. DC-IN Jack: DC IN 16V E Security Lock: LOCK A Kensington cable can be connected. For more information, read the manual that comes with the cable. USB Port 1: This can be used even when the AC adaptor is not connected. LAN Port: Front/Right Side Port Replicator Connector This connects to the port replicator connector on the bottom of the computer. HDMI Connector: Connector for HDMI compatible digital display. It is not compatible with the analog display. The display specifications of the maximum resolution, etc. that can be output differ according to the specifications of the device connected. For details, refer to the specifications of the device connected. Lever Slide the lever all the way back to release the computer. CD/DVD Drive <Only for model with CD/DVD Drive> Latch 9

10 Connecting / Disconnecting CAUTION Do not connect or disconnect the port replicator while the computer is powered on or in the Windows 7 sleep ( Windows XP standby) or hibernation mode. E Connecting APower off the computer, and disconnect all cables from the computer. BConnect the AC adaptor that came with the computer to the port replicator and plug the other end into an AC outlet. CAUTION Refer to the Operating Instructions accompanying computer for information on proper handling of the AC adaptor and AC cord. CSet the front of the computer in the latch of the port replicator. CAUTION Do not connect the computer to a port replicator while the AC adaptor or other cables is connected to the computer. Do not attempt to make connections if there is any object between the computer and the port replicator. Doing so could damage the computer and the ort replicator. DPut the computer on the port replicator slowly. ESlide the lever firmly forward until it reaches the line position. DOCK Line CAUTION While connecting the computer to the port replicator: Do not attempt to move the port replicator. Do not open the display wider than necessary (130 or more), and do not apply excessive pressure to the LCD. It is impossible to remove the battery pack. If the computer malfunctions while the port replicator is attached, disconnect the port replicator and check to see if the computer operates normally. If the computer operates normally, the port replicator may be malfunctioning. Contact your technical support office. Disconnecting APower off the computer and close the display. BSlide the lever all the way back. The computer's connector disengages the port replicator connector of the port replicator. CLift up the computer to remove it from the port replicator. 10

11 CAUTION If the port replicator is connected to the computer, connect the AC adaptor and the LAN cable to the jack and port on the port replicator. You cannot use the LAN port on the computer. Do not connect/disconnect peripheral devices in sleep ( Windows 7 )/standby ( Windows XP ) or hibernation. If devices connected to USB ports (2a, 2b, 2c) do not operate: Confirm the AC adaptor is connected to DC-IN of the port replicator. Try to connect via USB port 1. Windows XP For recognizing USB devices again, refer to the manual which belongs the computer itself. When you use the computer that [USB Port] is displayed in [Advanced] menu of the Setup Utility, confirm that [USB Port] is set to [Enable]. For more information about the settings and preparations of the peripheral devices, refer to the peripheral devices own operating instructions. When connecting the external display to either of the ports, lines or letters may blur. In that case, lower the resolution. E 11

12 Using the External Display Refer to Reference Manual External Display. Switching the Display When 2 external displays compatible with analog interface and HDMI respectively are connected at the same time and when [Display] is set to [External Monitor] in the Setup Utility, the display compatible with HDMI will take priority over the display compatible with analog interface. E To switch using the keys Windows 7 APress + or +. BClick the display mode. Windows XP The destination of the screen display changes over in the following order every time you press +. If the external display is connected to either one: Internal LCD Internal LCD + External Display (HDMI) External Display (HDMI) Internal LCD + External Display (Analog Interface) External Display (Analog Interface) External Display (Analog Interface) + External Display (HDMI) To switch using the display driver ARight-click the desktop, and click [Graphics Properties]. BClick [Multiple Displays]. CSelect the display in [Operating Mode], and click [Apply]. DClick [OK]. EIf necessary, click [General Settings], set the color depth, resolution, etc., and click [OK]. NOTE When external displays are connected to both the external display connector and HDMI output terminal, if you select [Clone Displays] or [Extended Desktop], 3 displays are shown for [Primary Display] and [Second Display] respectively under [Multiple Displays]. An HDMI compatible display is indicated as [Digital Television], analog display as [Monitor] and internal LCD as [Built-in Display]. 12

13 Switching the audio output destination while connecting the HDMI compatible display Windows 7 AClick (Start) - [Control Panel] - [Hardware and sound] - [Sound]. BSelect the audio output destination. CClick [Set Default] and click [OK]. Windows XP AClick [start] - [Control Panel] - [Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices] - [Sounds and Audio Devices] - [Audio]. BSelect the audio output destination for [Default device] under [Sound playback]. CClick [OK]. NOTE When connecting an HDMI compatible display without speakers mounted, audio may not be output from this unit and the HDMI compatible display. Follow the above steps to change the setting so the audio is output from this unit s speaker. E 13

14 Using the Drive <Only for model with CD/DVD Drive> Setting a Disc ATurn on the computer. BPress the eject button (A) and slowly pull out the tray. E CInsert/Remove the disc. To insert Set the disc with the label side up and press the center of the disc until it clicks in place. To remove Press on the center spindle (B) and carefully lift up the edge of the disc. DClose the tray. Do not press the eject button. 14 NOTE To remove a disc when the computer is powered off, insert a pointed object (e.g., the bent-out tip of a paper clip) into the emergency hole (C). Pushing it to the end allows the tray to come out. If the vibration of the drive is excessive, check the disc. For AutoPlay CD/DVD: If an AutoPlay CD/DVD does not start after the computer resumes from sleep ( Windows 7 ), standby ( Windows XP ) or hibernation, remove the disc from the drive and then reinsert it after waiting 15 seconds. An AutoPlay CD/DVD may start during file access depending on the status of the disc. When playing back video from a disc, playback may not be smooth in some conditions Power-saving Mode If the drive is not accessed for 30 seconds, the drive motor will automatically be shut down to reduce the power consumption. When the drive is accessed again, the drive motor is turned on. In this case, reading of the disc data will take approximately 30 seconds. To play DVD-Video or MPEG2 files Install the DVD playback software using DVD Drive Utility Disc (included). For information on how to install the software, refer to Operating Instructions Software Guide with DVD Drive Utility Disc.

15 Region Code Setting DVD-Videos are allocated to region codes according to where they are sold. To play a DVD-Video, the player s software and the drive must have the corresponding region code. e.g., For U.S.A. and Canada: 1 For Europe: 2 The region code of the drive is not set at purchase. The operation depends on the DVD-Video that is first played. DVD-Video with a specific region code: The drive will automatically be set at the same region code as the DVD-Video. DVD-Video with multiple region codes: [Confirm Region] appears. Select the region code and click [OK]. Play now begins. CAUTION You can change the region code setting up to five times including the initial setting. Be extremely careful because you cannot change the region code anymore after the fifth change, even if you reinstalled the operating system. Any problem resulting from illegal changing or altering of the region code is the user s responsibility. NOTE [Confirm Region] appears when the DVD-Video has only one region code and the drive is set for another region code. ([Confirm Region] may not appear with some DVD-Video discs. To check the current region code and the number of remaining times of changing the code, right-click on the [WinDVD] screen and click [Setup] - [Region].) Writing to Discs Windows 7 Windows 7 includes the standard function that enables you to write or rewrite data to a disc. Windows 7 You can copy a CD/DVD or create a music CD, data CD/DVD, etc. by installing Roxio Creator LJB using the included DVD Drive Utility Disc. Windows XP Writing software is required to write data to a disc other than DVD-RAM. Install DVD-RAM Software and Roxio Creator LJB using DVD Drive Utility Disc (included). Be sure to use discs conforming to the proper write speeds. ( page 19) If the write operation is to involve a long period of time, be sure to connect the AC adaptor of the computer. If the battery power runs low and the power of the computer is cut, the write operation may end in failure. You can read from/write to the following discs. E 15

16 Using the Drive You can read from the following discs. E *1 DVD-RAM: Only non-cartridge type or removable cartridge type can be used. *2 Does not support DVD-RW Ver.1.0. Recommended discs for writing The quality of written data depends on the disc. <CD-R> HITACHI MAXELL, Ltd. MITSUBISHI KAGAKU MEDIA CO., Ltd. 17 Troubleshooting Devices connected to the USB ports (2a, 2b or 2c) do not operate Power can be turned on, however, Windows does not start up normally The computer does not resume (return) from sleep ( Windows 7 )/standby ( Windows XP ) or hibernation The computer does not power off (Windows does not shut down) Nothing is displayed or the display does not appear properly on the external display connected to the HDMI terminal. The audio output from the HDMI compatible display cannot be turned on/off A device connected to the esata port cannot be booted How to connect/disconnect a peripheral device to the esata port Check if the AC adaptor is connected to the power terminal of the port replicator. Connect to the USB port 1. Disconnect peripheral devices, such as a USB memory. If disconnecting the peripheral devices can start up Windows, the problem may be with the peripheral devices. Contact the manufacturer of such devices. Slide the power switch to turn the power on in the following cases. Note that unsaved data is lost. The AC adaptor was disconnected in sleep ( Windows 7 )/standby ( Windows XP ). Peripheral devices were connected/disconnected. The power switch was slid for 4 seconds or more and Windows was forcibly terminated. If a peripheral is connected, disconnect it, and then shut down. If it is possible to shut down when the peripheral is disconnected, then there may be a problem with the peripheral. Contact the manufacturer of such devices. The HDMI compatible display does not support the HDMI connection on the computer. When the HDMI compatible display does not support the HDMI connection on the computer, the screen may appear blurry, or the output destination may not be switched by pressing + *1 or +. *1 Windows 7 only Pressing + on the computer cannot turn on/off the audio output from the HDMI compatible display. Devices connected to esata port cannot start the computer connected to this unit. Take the same steps as those for connecting/disconnecting peripheral devices to the USB ports. Power off the computer, then remove and connect the computer again. Is the disc loaded on the tray correctly? ( page 14) Is the disc bent, scratched, or dirty? An error may occur if, after the tray has been closed or operation has been resumed from the sleep ( Windows 7 ), standby ( Windows XP )/hibernate modes, the drive is accessed before the hard disc drive indicator goes off. Also, an error may occur if the drive is accessed by the application software automatically. In a case like this, remove the disc, reinsert it, and try again. ( page 14) Is writing software other than Roxio Creator LJB installed? Uninstall the writing software other than Roxio Creator LJB. Windows XP Be sure to disable writing to CDs. Right-click [(x:)] *2 in [start] - [My Computer], click [Properties] - [Recording], then remove the check mark for [Enable CD recording on this drive]. (Remove the check mark for [Enable CD recording on this drive] every time a new user is added.) *2 x is the drive letter. You can change the letter to suit your preference. Turn on the computer. To remove a disc when the computer is powered off, insert a pointed object (e.g., the bent-out tip of a paper clip) into the emergency hole (A). Pushing it completely to the end will free the tray so that it can be pulled out. If a disc with fingerprints or other dirt is used, you may not be able to remove it. Use a clean disc. Bei Anschluß Ihrer Peripheriegeräte an den Portreplikator ist es nicht erforderlich, beim Mitnehmen des Computers jedesmal eine Vielzahl von Kabeln anzuschließen bzw. abzuziehen. *1 Dieser Portreplikator kann nicht mit anderen Modellen verwendet werden. CDs, die keine runde Form aufweisen oder mit Klebstoffen repariert wurden, sind ähnlich gefährlich und sollten daher nicht verwendet werden. 22

23 Sorgfältiger Umgang mit dem Laufwerk <Nur bei Modellen mit CD/DVD-Laufwerk> Das Laufwerk darf keinem übermäßigen Rauch (z. B. durch Verbrennung von Fetten oder Tabak) ausgesetzt werden, der zu Ablagerungen führen kann. Anderenfalls könnte die Lebensdauer der Laufwerkslinse verkürzt werden. Wir empfehlen die Reinigung der Laufwerkslinse mit einem Blasebalg, der auch zum Reinigen von Kameraobjektiven verwendet wird. (Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen der Linse keine Reinigungssprays.) Öffnen und Schließen des Fachs Wenn der Computer eingeschaltet ist, verwenden Sie die Auswurftaste ( Seite 29) oder öffnen Sie das Disc-Fach über Windows. Achten Sie beim Einlegen oder Entfernen einer Disc darauf, dass Sie die Linse und andere Teile der Lasereinheit nicht berühren. Lassen Sie das Disc-Fach nicht offen, und berühren Sie die Linse und andere Teile der Lasereinheit nicht. Unter bestimmten Bedingungen kann sich Staub auf der Lasereinheit und der Disc absetzen. Daraus können Lese- oder Schreibfehler resultieren. Achten Sie darauf, das geöffnete Fach nicht zu stark zu belasten. Führen Sie in das Laufwerk keine Fremdkörper wie z. B. Büroklammern ein. Anderenfalls können Funktionsstörungen auftreten. Legen Sie ausschließlich Discs in das Fach ein. Sorgfältige Handhabung der Discs <Nur bei Modellen mit CD/DVD-Laufwerk> Bevor Sie die Discs verwenden, lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung, die Anleitungen zur Handhabung von Discs und alle Hinweise auf der Disc- Verpackung bitte aufmerksam durch. Falls die Discs nicht richtig behandelt werden, können sie verschmutzt oder zerkratzt werden. Außerdem kann sich die Schreibgeschwindigkeit verringern, und die Daten werden möglicherweise nicht korrekt aufgezeichnet oder wiedergegeben. Oder es können andere Schäden auftreten, einschließlich Laufwerkversagen. Beachten Sie daher die folgenden Vorsichtshinweise. Berühren Sie nie die (unbedruckte) Datenoberfläche. Halten Sie die Disc-Oberfläche sauber und frei von Schmutz, Staub und Fingerabdrücken, und vermeiden Sie Kratzer. Schreiben Sie nicht mit einem Kugelschreiber oder anderen Schreibinstrumenten auf der Disc- Oberfläche. Bringen Sie keine Aufkleber auf den Discs an. Discs dürfen weder fallengelassen noch verbogen oder durch schwere Gegenstände belastet werden. Verwahren Sie Ihre Discs nicht an einem Ort, wo sie zu hohen Temperaturen, direkter Sonneneinstrahlung, Feuchtigkeit oder Staub ausgesetzt sind. Wenn Discs aus kalten in warme Räume gebracht werden, kann auf ihnen Feuchtigkeit kondensieren. Diese muss bei Nur-Lese-Discs mit einem weichen, trockenen, fusselfreien Tuch entfernt werden, bevor Sie die Disc in das Laufwerk einlegen können. Bei beschreibbaren Discs müssen Sie so lange warten, bis der Niederschlag abgetrocknet ist. Wenn die Discs nicht verwendet werden, bewahren Sie sie in ihren Schutzhüllen oder Kassetten auf. So reinigen Sie die Discs <Für Nur-Lese-Discs> Wischen Sie die Disc mit einem weichen, trockenen Tuch geradlinig von der Mitte nach außen ab. Falls die Disc stark verschmutzt ist, wischen Sie sie mit einem weichen, feuchten Tuch ab, indem Sie von der Mitte gerade nach außen wischen, und wischen Sie dann mit einem trockenen Tuch nach, um die verbleibende Feuchtigkeit aufzunehmen. richtig falsch <Für wieder beschreibbare Discs> Verwenden Sie das Reinigungsmittel für wiederbeschreibbare Discs, um diese Discs zu reinigen. 24 Namen und Funktionen der Komponenten Mit dem Portreplikator können Ihre Peripheriegeräte genau so arbeiten, als wären sie direkt mit dem Computer verbunden. (Siehe Beschreibung der Teile in der Ihrem Computer beiliegenden Bedienungsanleitung.) VORSICHT Berühren Sie den Stecker, die Pins oder die terminals des Portreplikator nicht. Hinten Externer Display-Port: Schließen Sie hier ein externes Display an, das mit analogen Schnittstellen kompatibel ist. esata port: esata esata-kompatibler Anschluss. DC-IN-Buchse: DC IN 16V USB-Ports 2a / 2b / 2c: Nur bei angeschlossenem Netzteil verwendbar. D Sicherheitssperre: LOCK Hier kann ein Kensington-Kabel angeschlossen werden. Weitere Informationen finden Sie in der mit dem Kabel mitgelieferten Anleitung. Front/Rechte Seiet Portreplikator-Anschluss Zur Verbindung mit dem Portreplikator-Anschluss an der Unterseite des Computers. USB-Port 1: Auch ohne angeschlossenes Netzteil verwendbar. LAN-Port: HDMI-Anschluss: Anschluss für ein mit dem HDMI-Standard kompatibles digitales Display. Die Display-Spezifikationen für die maximal mögliche Auflösung usw. können je nach den Spezifikationen des angeschlossenen Geräts unterschiedlich sein. 25 Anschließen / Entfernen VORSICHT Verbinden oder trennen Sie den Portreplikator nicht, während der Computer eingeschaltet, im Windows 7 Modus energie sparen ( Windows XP Standby) oder im Ruhezustand ist. Anschließen ASchalten Sie den Computer aus und trennen Sie alle Kabel vom Computer. BSchließen Sie das Netzteil, das mit dem Computer mitgeliefert wurde, an den Portreplikator an und stecken Sie den Stecker des Netzteils in die Steckdose. VORSICHT Siehe die Bedienungsanleitung des Computers zu Informationen zum richtigen Umgang mit dem Netzteil und dem Netzkabel. CSetzen Sie die Vorderseite des Computers in die Rastnasen des Portreplikators. VORSICHT Schließen Sie den Computer nicht an einen Portreplikator an, während das Netzteil oder ein anderes Kabel mit dem Computer verbunden ist. Versuchen Sie nicht, eine Verbindung herzustellen, wenn sich ein Gegenstand zwischen dem Computer und dem Portreplikator befindet. Dies könnte den Computer und den Portreplikator beschädigen. DSetzen Sie den Computer auf den Portreplikator langsam. ESchieben Sie den Hebel kraftvoll nach vorne. DOCK Linie D VORSICHT Beim Anschließen des Computers an den Portreplikator: Versuchen Sie nicht, den Portreplikator zu verschieben. Öffnen Sie das Display nur so weit wie nötig (130 oder mehr) und drücken Sie nicht übermäßig stark auf das LCD. Es ist nicht möglich, den Akku zu entnehmen. Wenn während der Verbindung mit dem Portreplikator eine Störung des Computers auftritt, trennen Sie den Portreplikator und prüfen Sie, ob der Computer nun normal arbeitet. Wenn der Computer normal arbeitet, liegt möglicherweise eine Fehlfunktion des Portreplikator vor. Wenden Sie sich an den zuständigen technischen Kundendienst. Entfernen ASchalten Sie den Computer aus und schließen Sie das Display. BSchieben Sie den Hebel bis zum Anschlag nach hinten. Erweiterungsbus-Anschluß des Computers wird vom Anschluß des Portreplikators getrennt. CHeben Sie den Computer vom Portreplikator ab. 25

26 Anschließen / Entfernen VORSICHT Wenn der Portreplikator mit dem Computer verbunden ist, schließen Sie das Netzteil und das LAN- Kabel an die Buchse bzw. den Anschluss am Portreplikator an. Sie können den LAN-Port am Computer verwenden. Verbinden oder trennen Sie im Modus energie sparen ( Windows 7 )/ Standby ( Windows XP ) oder Ruhezustand. Wenn an die USB-Ports (2a, 2b, 2c) angeschlossene Geräte nicht funktionieren: Prüfen Sie, ob das Netzteil an DC-IN des Portreplikator angeschlossen ist. Versuchen Sie, eine Verbindung über den USB-Port 1 herzustellen. Windows XP Hinweise zur erneuten Erkennung von USB-Geräten finden Sie in der Anleitung des Computers. Umschalten des Displays Wenn gleichzeitig ein mit einer analogen Schnittstelle kompatibles externes Display und ein mit HDMI kompatibles externes Display angeschlossen sind und [Display] im Setup Utility auf [External Monitor] eingestellt ist, besitzt das mit HDMI kompatible Display Vorrang gegenüber dem mit einer analogen Schnittstelle kompatiblen Display. Umschalten mit dem Tasten Windows 7 ADrücken Sie + oder +. BKlicken Sie den Anzeigemodus an. Windows XP Das Ziel der Bildschirmanzeige verändert sich in folgender Reihenfolge, jedes Mal, wenn Sie + drücken. HINWEIS Wenn sowohl an den Anschluss für externe Displays als auch an den HDMI-Ausgangsanschluss ein externes Display angeschlossen wird, werden bei Auswahl von [Clone-Displays] oder [Erweiterter Desktop] unter [Mehrere Displays] für [Primäres Display] und [Zweites Display] jeweils 3 Displays angezeigt. Ein HDMI-kompatibles Display ist als [Digitales Fernsehen] gekennzeichnet, ein analoges Display als [Monitor] und ein internes LCD-Display als [Integriertes Display]. 27
