3 Abstract A solution of RFID network standards by an XML description Tatsumi NOZAKI At the present time, the RFID tag sensor network develops as a basic technology which being the next generation s ubiquitous network The development of the intercommunication of this RFID network and an existing IP network is necessary for the ubiquitous computing environment EPC Global that is the standardization organization of the RFID tag aims at the collaboration scheme between with the IP network and the RFID network However, the other standards are also used for the RFID tag with different data structures Therefore, the effective collaboration of RFID and IP networks has not been completely by the differences among the standards This study proposes the integration standard of the RFID tag specifications various standards and also achievement of effective intercommunication between the IP network and the RFID networks This standard allow the user s towards their own considerations to the objects and the applications The proposed integration is due to the description by XML is one of generalized markup languages, and maintains more data formats in a single RFID tag The RFID tag can correspond to various applications by the syntax of interpretation of the XML file This integration standard was defined, so that integration works as the background system to activate the interwork between IP network and the sensers An application is constructed based on the person s going in and out The mechanism by this syntax interpretation is utilized in this applications ii
