Abstract In the Manga Literacy group, we gazed at the concept of easy to read comics and studied. By conducting experiments on various types of manga with materials, using the gaze measuring device, we found the manga features that we do not normally notice from the observed slight gaze movements, and how manga elements used for gaze guidance are It analyzed and examined how the gaze moves according to the arrangement of these elements and what the impression given to the reader is. As a result of the measurement and analysis, it turned out that the element that induces the line of sight of manga is balloon, the person arrangement, the direction of the face and line of sight of the placed person, the streamlines representing the movement of the person, etc. And if the layout of these elements is arranged so that the line of sight moves from the right to the left if the manga is using Japanese, it will be able to read smoothly without getting lost and receive the impression that it is easy to read Also it turned out. On the contrary, in the case of an arrangement impressed so as to oppose the flow from the right to the left, it became clear that a rereading occurs once again seeing the part seen. It was also found that appropriately arranging them makes it possible to control the movement of the reader s line of sight to some extent and to predict the movement of the line of sight from the element.
