Abstract A study on the system to transfer a GUI sub-picture to the enlarging viewer for operational support Shin'ichi Ohtani Various kinds of people use personal computers (PC) in according to the PC penetration. It may bring information shortfalls for the users who has weak body functions for PC manipulation. The users will ask operating supports. They also have dificulty in capturing GUI (Graphical User Interface) image. Now, there are some systems for supporting them using magnification of GUI image on the same PC screen. In cases of these current support systems, the users might miss their own easy recognition of the whole screen, because the systems change the original screen layout. To solve the problem of these current systems I think the way out of support that magnifies the image and show it on another screen. So Iinvestigated the system that captures GUI image around a mouse cursor at PC which is called as the server. The server transmits GUI image on the other support gear which is called as the viewer. Then the viewer shows a magnified image on the viewer screen. This study introduces that a protocol that regularly transmit an image from the server to the viewer. While the GUI image is regularly transmetted, the image on the viewer should follow the cursor movement at the server I have mounted the system on PCs and clarified the subjective evaluation for the system through the experiment. key words GUI, magnified image, operating support ii
