Abstract Development of SCORM conformant LMS for Collaborative and Synchronous Learning SAMUKAWA, Takeshi In recent years, education field is introducing ICT (Information and Communication Technology). It is called e-learning to use ICT in education. In particular, WBT (Web Based Training) is becoming to mainstream of e-learning in Enterprise and University. WBT is one of e-leaning methods which accesses a network using a browser to learn. ADL(Advanced Distributed Learning, U.S.) has been offering SCORM(Sharable Content Reference Model) as standard model in WBT. SCORM aims to give four abilities to WBT system: Interoperability, Reusability, Accessibility and Durability. e-learning has many methods besides WBT. It is important for learning effect that e-learning method is appropriately select by purpose of study, a student composition and so on. However, e-learning method of SCORM is only individualized learning by WBT. The advantage of SCORM is effective not only individualized learning but also other e-learning method. Therefore, other e-learning method is necessary in SCORM. In this paper, we propose to realize collaborative learning in SCORM. Moreover, we developed SCORM conformant LMS for Collaborative and Synchronous Learning which has communicating function between learners. key words e-learning WBT SCORM Instructional Design, Collaborative Learning ii
