Olympic Sports and Non-Olympic Sports are separately examined with a focus on Olympic Sports. The 2002 Pusan Asian Games experience a separate, more detailed, analysis also taking the efficiency of each Top 5 Nation into consideration. Some questions this Analysis tries to solve are Is the home advantage influencing the results of the Asian Games? How do the Top 5 Nations approach the Asian Games? Are the Asian Games efficiently utilized as a tool for the preparation for Olympic Games? Is there a different approach to Olympic Sports and Non Olympic Sports? Do the Top 5 Nations focus their efforts on Olympic Sports? How efficient is each Top 5 Nations approach? This analysis is based on the results / information available from the Official Report of the respective Asian Games. In case results were corrected after the publishing of the Official Report these changes are not taken into consideration. - 46 -
