Hello Everyone! Happy New Year! Today I am going to talk about my winter vacation. This year my family and I met in Hawaii for Christmas. It was very fun! I was in Hawaii from December 23rd to December 31st. We stayed on the Big Island in a small city called Kona. This was my first time visiting the Big Island so I was very excited. The Big Island is almost completely covered in volcanic rock. There are five volcanoes on the Big Island so it has very few beaches. It also doesn t have many forests either. While we were in Hawaii we went hiking, swimming, and snorkeling. My favorite part of the trip was snorkeling. Ever since I was little I have always loved the ocean and the water in Hawaii is so clear and beautiful! While I was snorkeling I saw many fish, dolphins, and sea turtles. I also saw Hawaiian manta rays. This was very amazing because the manta rays are over two meters long! While I was swimming one manta ray swam right up to my face. While I was a little afraid it was such an amazing experience. This is a picture of my family and I at a Luau. It was so much fun. We ate lots of delicious food and learned how to dance the hula.
