Achievement Standard 90570, Japanese Level 3. To start with, you will hear two sentences in Japanese to familiarise you with the voices on the CD. You will not have to answer any questions on these sentences. The Supervisor will now check for audibility. Pause 60 seconds Open your booklet, Japanese 90570, at page 2. You have one minute to look over the questions for Question One. Pause 60 seconds QUESTION ONE: SCHOOL ASSEMBLY NOTICES

During assembly a teacher reads out these notices to the whole school. You will hear the notices read FOUR times. The first time, you will hear the notices as a whole. Just listen to get the general idea. Then you will hear them twice more, in sections, for you to focus on the relevant details. There will be a pause after each section. Finally, you will hear the notices again as a whole. Answer the questions, in English, in the spaces provided on pages 2, 3 and 4. Your answers must be based on the information you hear.
