1 テレビ埼玉埼玉県公立高校入試傾向と対策英語の実況中継解説スクール 21 英語科花野井俊久みなさんこんにちはスクール21 英語科の花野井です今日は毎年大問 4の長文読解問題で出題される英問英答, つまり, 本文の内容に関する次の質問に英語で答えなさいというタイプの問題の解法についてお話します 1 英問英答出題分析まず最初に, どういった問題が出されているのか確認しましょう英問英答出題分析 H21~25 年度 ( 全 7 問 ) 疑問詞で始まらない疑問文 = Yes, Noで答えられる疑問文 0 問疑問詞で始まる疑問文 = Yes, Noで答えられない疑問文 7 問 ( What:5 問,How:1 問,When:1 問 ) 疑問文には, 疑問詞で始まるものと, そうでないものがありますが, 過去 5 年の出題 7 問のすべてが, 疑問詞で始まる疑問文となっていますその中でも, Whatの出題頻度が高くなっています疑問詞で始まる疑問文の答え方 Yes, Noで答えられない例 1 Where does Mr. Nakamura live? He lives in Saitama. 例 2 Who broke the window? Makoto did. 疑問詞で始まる疑問文はYes,Noでは答えられないタイプの疑問文となりますまた答えの文では,Whoの場合を除いて, 主語は代名詞に置き換えます疑問詞で始まっているのに,Yes,Noで答えてしまうことのないように気をつけましょう

2 次に, 英問英答の正答率を確認してみましょう配点正答一部正答誤答無答平成 21 年度平成 22 年度前期平成 22 年度後期平成 23 年度前期平成 23 年度後期平成 24 年度平成 25 年度点満点になった平成 22 年度から, 配点が4 点です正答は4 点もらえた受験生の割合, 一部正答は部分点で1 点 ~3 点もらえた受験生の割合, 誤答は答えを書いたけれども点数がもらえなかった受験生の割合, 無答はこの問題に手が付けられず, 空欄にしてしまった受験生の割合となります無答の割合が高く, およそ3 人に1 人はこの問題を空欄にしてしまっていますしかし, 本日説明する解法の手順を身につけていれば, 必ず点数をもらえるはずです英問英答答案作成の鉄則設問の疑問文を元に答案を作成する! 英問英答の答案作成の鉄則は, 設問の英問の部分, つまり英語の疑問文を元に答案を作成するということですこれから, 設問の疑問文を元に答案を作成していく手順を説明していきます

3 2 疑問文肯定文の変換では, 与えられた質問の文を4つのステップを踏んで, 正解の文に変身させるという方法を紹介していきましょう英問英答の正解への最初のステップとなるのが, 疑問詞の後ろの部分を肯定文に変換させるというものです疑問文を肯定文, つまり主語 + 動詞という元の形の文にする方法を考えましょう疑問文を肯定文にする方法ですが, これは, will や can などを使った助動詞の文, am is are was were を使った be 動詞の文, そして do does did を使った一般動詞の文, の3つに分かれますさらに, 一般動詞の疑問文は4つのパターンに分かれますでは, 具体的に1つずつ見ていきましょう 1 助動詞の文助動詞 + 主語 + 動詞の原形 ~? まず1つ目は助動詞の文です助動詞の疑問文は助動詞 + 主語 + 動詞の原形 ~? という形になっていますが, ここではその助動詞と動詞の原形をそれぞれ1 枚のカードに置き換えてあります 1 助動詞の文 ( 例 ) Will Mary come here next Sunday? 移動 Mary will come here next Sunday. 例文は, Will Mary come here next Sunday? ( メアリーは次の日曜日にここに来ますか ) これを肯定文にするのですが, Will というカードを主語, ここでは Mary の後ろに移動させればいいのですそして, 肯定文ですから, 最後のクエスチョンマークをピリオドに変えますつまり, Mary will come here next Sunday. となります 2 be 動詞の文 Am[Is Are Was Were] + 主語 ~? 2つ目は be 動詞の文です be 動詞の疑問文は Am[Is Are Was Were]+ 主語 ~? という形ですここではbe 動詞を1 枚のカードに置き換えてあります 2 be 動詞の文 ( 例 ) Is Mary from America? 移動 Mary is from America. 例文は, Is Mary from America? ( メアリーはアメリカ出身ですか ) Is というカードを主語である Mary の後ろに移動させるだけで, 肯定文になりますもちろん, クエスチョンマークはピリオドに変えて,Mary is from America. となります

4 3 一般動詞の文 Do[Does Did] + 主語 + 動詞の原形 ~? 次に, 一般動詞の文について見ていきましょう一般動詞の疑問文は Do Does Did+ 主語 + 動詞の原形という形になっています動詞の原形があるので, 基本的には助動詞の文と同じですが, 一般動詞の文では, 移動させるではなく合体させることが必要ですここでは Do Does Did と動詞の原形をそれぞれ1 枚のカードに置き換えてありますまずは, 現在形 Do のパターンから見てみましょう a. 現在形 3- a 一般動詞の文 ( 現在形 ) ( 例 ) Do Taro and Haruko like English? Taro and Haruko 合体 like English. 例文は, Do Taro and Haruko like English? ( タロウとハルコは英語が好きですか ) これを肯定文にするためには, Do と like という2 枚のカードを合体させます疑問文で使う do は, 肯定文では動詞の原形の後ろに隠れていますですから, Do は動詞の変形の後ろに隠しますこのように, 後ろに Do が隠れている形が現在形となります同じように見えますが, like は動詞の原形から現在形に変わりましたクエスチョンマークはピリオドに変えて, Taro and Haruko like English. となります b. 3 人称単数現在形 3- b 一般動詞の文 (3 人称単数現在形 ) ( 例 ) Does Mike live in America? Mike 合体 live s in America. 次は, 現在形 Does のパターンです例文は, Does Mike live in America? ( マイクはアメリカに住んでいますか ) これを肯定文にするには, Does と live という2 枚のカードを合体させます動詞の原形の後ろに Does を隠しますでも, このままだと Do が隠れていることになってしまいますから, Does が隠れていることが分かるように, Does の s だけを見えるように合体させるんですいいですか, ここがポイントですよ Does の場合は s または es が見えるように合体させるんですよクエスチョンマークをピリオドに変えて, Mike lives in America. となります

5 c. 過去形 ( 規則動詞 ) 3- c 一般動詞の文 ( 過去形規則動詞 ) ( 例 ) Did Helen and Akio talk about Japan? Helen and Akio 合体 talk ed about Japan. 次に, 過去形 Did のパターンですここまでくれば, どうするかは予想できると思いますが, 過去形は規則動詞と不規則動詞に区別する必要がありますので注意してくださいまずは, 規則動詞です例文は, Did Helen and Akio talk about Japan? ( ヘレンとアキオは日本について話をしましたか ) これを肯定文にするには, Did と talk という2 枚のカードを合体させますただし, 後ろに隠れているのが Did だと分かるように, Did を少しだけ見えるようにするんですが, 発音の都合上 id を ed にかえて合体させますクエスチョンマークをピリオドに変えて, Helen and Akio talked about Japan. となります d. 過去形 ( 不規則動詞 ) 3- d 一般動詞の文 ( 過去形不規則動詞 ) ( 例 ) Did Makoto buy the dictionary? Makoto 合体 bought the dictionary. 最後に, 不規則動詞の過去形のパターンです例文は, Did Makoto buy the dictionary? ( マコトはその辞書を買ったのですか ) 先ほどの規則動詞の時と同じように, Did と buy を合体させてみます buyed となりますが, buy は buy-bought-bought と変化し, 過去形は buyed ではなく bought です不規則動詞は, did の助けがなくても自分で過去形になれるので, did は過去形の後ろに隠れていますですから, このようにして, Makoto bought the dictionary. となりますいいでしょうか, このように疑問文を肯定文に直すことができれば正解にたどり着く第 1 ステップは完成です第 2 ステップ以降は, 実際に過去の問題を使って確認してみましょう

6 3 平成 24 年度 4 問 3 まず最初に, 平成 24 年度 4を見てみましょうスピーチコンテストで中学生の Toshio が行ったスピーチで, あこがれの高校の野球部のボールを拾ったという経験をもとに, 誘惑に直面したらどうするか? という内容になっていますでは, 問 3の英問英答の問題を見てみましょう問 3 スピーチコンテストで Toshio が述べた内容に関する次の質問に, 英語で答えなさい (4 点 ) What will Toshio do if he meets temptation again? スピーチコンテストでToshioが述べた内容に関する次の質問に, 英語で答えなさいという問題で, 質問の部分は, What will Toshio do if he meets temptation again? となっています単語の一部をカードに置き換えて考えていきましょう What What will Toshio do if he meets temptation again? 1 移動 Toshio will do if he meets temptation again. 2 疑問詞を移動させる Toshio will do what if he meets temptation again. 3 本文中から答えの該当箇所を探して当てはめる Toshio will do the right thing if he meets temptation again. 4 代名詞に置き換える He will do the right thing ( if he meets temptation again ). まず, 第 1ステップとして, 質問の文の疑問詞の後ろを肯定文に直しますこの文は助動詞の文ですから, 助動詞 will を主語 Toshio の後ろに移動させます第 2ステップは, 疑問詞を適切な箇所に移動させる, というものですこの場合は, 何をするのかを聞いているので, do の後ろに What を移動させますいかがでしょうか, あとは, この What の部分に入る内容を本文中から探して当てはめればほぼ完成となりますこれでほぼ, 答えの型ができて, 穴埋め形式に近い形になりました正解にぐんと近づいたといえるでしょう第 3ステップは, 疑問詞の部分にあてはまる内容を本文から探してあてはめます本文中に, これまでのステップでできた文と似たような表現, あるいは質問の文の言い換えの表現があるはずです If you *meet *temptation, what will you do? I will do the right thing. とありますね what にあたる部分は, the right thing ですねこれを当てはめてみましょう Toshio will do the right thing if he meets temtation again. となりますこれでほぼ完成ですが, 安心してはいけません第 4ステップは主語を代名詞に置き換え, かつ他の代名詞をチェックする, というものですこの問題では, 主語の Toshio を代名詞の He に変えます他の代名詞をチェックすると, he meets の he は Toshio を指していますから, これはこのまま he でかまいませんさあ, これでできあがりです答えは, He will do the right thing if he meets temtation again. となります県発表の解答例では, 質問の文と重複する if he meets temtation again の部分が入っていませんが, もちろん, 入っていても正解になります平成 24 年度 4 問 3 県発表解答例 He will do the right thing.

8 4 英問英答の手順では, 英問英答の正解へのプロセスを確認してみましょう英問英答の解法 STEP1: 疑問詞の後ろを肯定文にする! STEP2: 疑問詞を適切な箇所に移動させる! STEP3: 疑問詞に当てはまる内容を本文中から探し, 当てはめる! STEP4: 主語を代名詞に置き換え, 他の代名詞をチェックする! まず第 1 ステップとして, 質問の文の疑問詞の後ろの部分を肯定文にします助動詞の文 be 動詞の文一般動詞のいずれなのかを判断しましょうそして第 2 ステップとして, 疑問詞を適当な場所に移動させます次に, 第 3 ステップとして, 疑問詞の部分にあてはまる内容を本文中から探し出し, 当てはめますポイントは, 質問の文と似ている表現, あるいは質問の文の言い換えの表現を本文から探すということです第 4 ステップとして, 主語を代名詞に置き換えますさらに, 主語以外の代名詞もそのままでいいのか必ずチェックしましょう

9 5 平成 25 年度 4 問 3 では, もう1 問, 過去の問題を使って, 解法の手順を確認しましょう平成 25 年度 4です中学生の Ayako が来月にひかえた職場体験に向けて, 自分の将来について考える, という内容になっていますでは, 問 3の英問英答の問題を見てみましょう問 3 本文の内容に関する次の質問に, 英語で答えなさい (4 点 ) What does Ayako do as the captain of her team? 本文の内容に関する次の質問に, 英語で答えなさいという問題で, 質問の部分は, What does Ayako do as the captain of her team? となっています先ほどと同じように, 単語の一部をカードに置き換えて考えていきましょう What What does Ayako do as the captain of her team? 1 合体 Ayako do es as the captain of her team. 2 疑問詞を移動させる Ayako do es what as the captain of her team. 3 本文中から答えの該当箇所を探して当てはめる Ayako do es teach basketball to younger members as the captain of her team. 3 動詞 (teach) を do に代入する Ayako teach es basketball to younger members as the captain of her team. 4 代名詞に置き換える She teach es basketball to younger members ( as the captain of her team ). 第 1ステップは, 質問の文の疑問詞の後ろを肯定文に直す, んでしたね does と do を合体させて does にします合体する前の does と合体した後の does は同じように見えますが, 実際にはカードが1 枚か2 枚重なっているのかで違いますよ第 2ステップは, 疑問詞を適切な適当な箇所に移動させる, というものでしたこの場合は, 何をするのかを聞いているので, do の後ろに What を移動させますいかがでしょうか, あとは, この What の部分に入る内容を本文中から探して当てはめればほぼ完成となります第 3ステップは, 疑問詞の部分にあてはまる内容を本文から探してあてはめます質問文中にある表現と似ている表現, または質問の文の言い換えの表現を探しましょう
