Kyoto University International Students Housing Guaranty System For international students who have trouble finding a joint guarantor to rent a private apartment, there is a system whereby Kyoto University will act as joint guarantor for international students. For details and application forms, please contact the International Service Office. 2. Kyoto University Coop Living Shop (Renais shops) The Coop housing office is located on the 1 st floor of the Renais complex, on the West Campus. Phone: See map on opposite page. 3. Other Real Estate Agencies There are many real estate agencies in Kyoto. It is a good idea to ask friends and neighbours about the reputation and services of specific agencies, as well as to go to multiple agencies before finalizing a contract. 4. 7 III. 公営住宅等の宿舎 Public Housing 公営住宅申請時の注意外国人登録が済んでいないと申請できません募集要項申請書は日本語です Notes in Applying for Public Housing Foreign Resident Registration must be completed by the time of application. Information and forms are given in Japanese. 1. 京都市営住宅問い合わせ先 : 京都市住宅供給公社電話 : (Japanese only) 部屋の種類留学生は家族室のみ応募可月額料金等家賃は \10,000 - \60,000 申請方法等申請書は募集月の月初めに市区役所で入手できる年 4 回募集 (4, 6, 9, 12 月 ) 募集時に対象団地の場所や間取りの情報を申込書と共に配布している申込者が多いため公開抽選申請後入居できるまで約 3ヶ月市営住宅全般に関する説明のパンフレットは京都市住宅供給公社や各区役所支所でいつでも入手可住宅は市内各所にある市営住宅申請書は市内の市区役所で入手できます Application forms for municipal housing may be obtained at city/ward offices 1. Kyoto Municipal Housing (Kyoto Shiei Jutaku) Inquiry (In Japanese): Kyoto-shi Jutaku Kyokyu Kosha Rooms Only family rooms are available for international students. Cost Rent : 10,000-60,000. Application etc. Application forms are available at Kyoto City/Ward offices at the beginning of each application month. Recruitment occurs 4 times a year (Apr., Jun., Sep., and Dec.). Locations and apartment layouts are available along with application form. Residents are chosen by lottery. It takes about 3 months from application to move-in. General information on municipal housing is available anytime at city/ward offices. The housings are located within Kyoto City. 7
