15 2010 年ある 某所 はじまり C 社 : 実は こんな CMOS センサがあるのですが なにかに使えませんか? 私 : ああ この仕様だと 天 観測では使えませんねえ C 社 : そうですか しかし ご迷惑でなければ試させていただけませんか? 私 : そうですねえ 搭載は簡単そうなので やってみましょうか あまり期待しないでください 2011 年 1 曽観測所 C 社 : 私 : C 社 : 私 : わあ さすがに星がたくさん写りますね はい これくらいは写ると思います あ 雲がきた あ! 衛星 あ! 流れ星 また これも?? なんだろうこの違和感は 観測に使 した 200mm x 200mm CMOS センサを搭載した試験カメラ 教訓 仕様値からは想像できないことがある データに触れて初めて感じることがある 分野外の専 家のコメントは 切に 2011 年 9 15 キヤノン記者発表の様

16 2012 年ある 某所 やってみる C 社 : 実は こんな CMOS センサもあるのですが 使えませんか? 私 : C 社 : 私 : ああ この仕様だと天 観測では使えませんが 画素サイズはマッチしてますね 試験観測をやってみましょうか 評価 の読み出し装置はありますよ ああ この仕様だと天 観測では使えませんが すぐに試験ができて便利なのでお貸しください 2012 年 12 曽観測所 私 : まあまあ写りますね でも バックグラウンドが いですね C 社 : 私 : C 社 : 冷却ですからね 触ると熱いくらいですから 天 観測に いるには 冷却が必須なのですよ そうですものね 冷却がなければ楽なんですけどね カメラを準備する様 (B4 藤堂さんら ) 教訓 すぐに試験できる環境を持つことが 切 すぐに試験する意思が 切 これらこそ 学の研究室の役割 2012 年 12 35mm センサの 1 回 の試験観測の様

18 業界の伝統を疑ってみる センサの冷却は必要なのか? センサの真空設置は必要なのか? センサの温度制御は必要なのか? センサは粗末に扱うと壊れるのか? センサは 感度でないと使えないのか? 練習中に を呑んではだめなのか? 教訓 技術はいつのまにか進んでいる 伝統が かせになっていないか 伝統を 度はうたがってみるべき
