1 Shimane prefectural police ~ for safe and comfortable life ( 島 根 県 警 察 ~ 安 心 安 全 な 生 活 ために) Shimane prefectural police aims to maintain peace of communities. Police activity Crime investigation, arrest of criminals, inspection and investigation of traffic accidents, traffic regulations, keep lost items, protection of runaways, protection and guidance of young people, patrol. This booklet was made to attract attention of foreigners living in Shimane prefecture not to be involved in crimes and accidents and give guidance how to report to the police, in case of emergency. A passport or a resident card(alien registration certificate) is only document proves your identity. パスポート 若 しくは 在 留 カード( 外 国 人 登 録 証 明 書 )はあなたの 身 分 を 示 す 唯 一 のものです When you go out, you have to carry your resident card (alien registration certificate) with you. (Except people under16) 外 出 の 際 は 必 ず 在 留 カード( 外 国 人 登 録 証 明 書 )を 携 帯 してください (16 歳 未 満 の 者 は 除 く) When police officer request you, you have to show them your passport or resident card (alien registration certificate). 警 察 官 からパスポート 若 しくは 在 留 カード( 外 国 人 登 録 証 明 書 )の 呈 示 を 求 められたときは 必 ず 見 せてください If you have lost your resident card(alien registration certificate) due to misplacement or theft, you are required to apply for the reissuance of it to immigration office within 14days. 3 Life ( 生 活 に 関 すること) Once you go out of your home, you are in a public community. Follow the public manner and have a comfortable life. 自 分 の 家 から 外 に 出 ると そこは 公 共 の 場 です 最 低 限 のマナーは 守 って 楽 しい 日 常 生 活 を 送 りましょう Hi! Exchange greetings with others and join the community. すすんであいさつを 行 い 自 らも 地 域 住 民 として 地 域 にとけ 込 みましょう Do not make big noise at night time. Even if you are at home, be careful not to disturb neighbors. 夜 間 は 静 かにしましょう たとえ 自 分 の 家 であっても 大 声 を 出 したり 大 きな 音 を 立 てた りして 周 囲 に 迷 惑 をかけないようにしましょう Follow the rules. You must classify rubbish and put it out on the designated site on the collection day. The way of classify and how to put it out are different from each town. ごみは 分 類 して 決 められた 日 時 定 められた 場 所 に 出 して 下 さい ゴミ の 分 類 方 法 と 出 し 方 は 各 市 町 村 で 違 いますので 確 認 してください You can not take refuse out of the designated site. Especially, stolen bicycles are often dumped in the site. If you take it out and ride on it, you may be punished for a theft, even if you did not know that it was stolen one. 粗 大 ゴミ 収 集 場 所 等 のごみを 勝 手 に 持 っていかないようにしましょう 特 に 自 転 車 などは 誰 かが 乗 り 捨 てていった 盗 品 かもしれません 勝 手 に 乗 っていると 盗 まれた 自 転 車 とは 知 らなくても 犯 罪 とみなされるこ とがあります When you buy a bicycle, register it in the shop. Bicycle registry is a system to make owner clear. For example, the police returns stolen bicycles to the owner, following the registry. 自 転 車 を 買 ったときは その 自 転 車 店 で 防 犯 登 録 をしてください 防 犯 登 録 番 号 は 自 転 車 の 所 有 者 を 明 確 にするためのものです 例 えば 盗 難 被 害 の 自 転 車 などを 持 ち 主 へ 返 す 時 に は 登 録 番 号 から 所 有 者 を 探 すことができます Window of lost items. When you lost your belongings or find lost items, report it to the police station or police box near to your home. Pedestrian:( 歩 行 者 ) When you walk a street, you are supposed to walk right side. And when you walk streets with sidewalk, you are supposed to walk on it. When you cross a street, you are supposed to walk a zebra zone. 5 For prevention of crimes ( 犯 罪 防 止 のために) When you go out, make sure to lock doors for prevention of theft. Locked 外 出 時 には 部 屋 の 鍵 を 必 ずかけて 盗 難 などの 被 害 にあわないようにしましょう When you park a car,stand a motorcycle or bicycle, make sure to lock them. 自 動 車 オートバイ 自 転 車 などを 停 めておく 場 合 は 必 ず 鍵 をかけましょう Locked OK! 6 In case you are involved in crimes ( 犯 罪 被 害 にあった 場 合 ) When you are involved in crimes, dial 110 immediately and report it to the police. 犯 罪 にあったときは すぐに110 番 をダイヤルし 警 察 に 通 報 してください 110 police headquarter When you are involved in crimes, such as a case of assault, bodily injury, robbery etc..., dial 110 immediately. In case someone got injured, dial 119 and call an ambulance. Attention Emergency numbers 119- This is numbers of a fire station. We need your cooperation with us to maintain peace of the city. 犯 罪 を 目 撃 したときは 警 察 に110 番 通 報 する など 犯 罪 捜 査 に 協 力 してください 共 に 安 心 し て 暮 らせるまちをつくりましょう In case you had a car or bicycle stolen, report it to the police immediately and tell police officer your registration numbers of your bicycle or car. These numbers are easy to forget, so we recommend you to write them down when you bought a bicycle or car. In case you can not remember the numbers, go to the shop where you bought them and ask stuffs about numbers. 自 転 車 自 動 車 などを 盗 まれたときには すぐに 警 察 に 届 け 出 をしてください 届 出 のとき には 盗 まれた 自 転 車 バイク 自 動 車 の 防 犯 登 録 番 号 ナンバープレート 等 の 番 号 が 必 要 になります これらの 番 号 は 忘 れやすいので 自 転 車 等 を 買 ったときに 番 号 を 控 えておくと よいでしょう 番 号 がわからない 場 合 は 自 転 車 等 を 買 ったお 店 へ 問 い 合 わせてください In case someone burglarized your house, leave the things as the are and report it to the police immediately.
