79 Development of Fundamental Competencies for Working Persons with link to Informational Education From the research results of freshman workers consciousness research about work and the investigation on the talents desired by the company and the ICT skills needed for the students of social science department Ryoko GOTO* *Part-time Lecturer, Chuo gakuin University Abstract The ministry of economy, trade and industry has dened the fundamental ability essential to work with various people at work and also at local community as the Fundamental Competencies for Working Persons. The ministry has been driving the development of this ability at the site of university education. The Japan Revitalization Strategy, decided by the cabinet meeting on Jun. 14 th, 2013, again says to promote the activity of the young. Also in the proposal of University Education and Global Human Resource Development for the Future (May 28 th, 2013) by the Education Rebuilding Council says that the development of Fundamental Competencies for Working Persons is necessary as the enhancement and diversity of talent desired from the society advances. The author has done a consciousness research about working to the freshmen workers in 2014. At the same time, has also organized the characteristics of them felt by the teachers after their freshmen training. An investigation on the talents desired by the company and the ICT skills needed for the students of social science department has also been done. This paper aims to identify the role of university education and informational education in the development of Fundamental Competencies for Working Persons, by the research results from the three different points of view (freshmen, teachers and companies).
