After then Women's Football is rapidly gaining popularity in Japan. However, an environment of women's football in Japan is not favorable. The purpose of this study was to examine the current status and the future prospects of the Japan Women's Football League through the case study of the two teams (Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies and Iga Football Club Kunoichi) belong to the League. Especially, before examining the case study of the two teams, the present study is to examine the History and Current Status of the Japan Women's Football League the following topics : 1.
