OurJourney The first steps Chapter 1 Dear reader, 読 者 のみなさまへ This is the tale about a company that was founded in 2012. The company is called Nordic Tales and it spins great tales in all of its creations. これは2012 年 に 設 立 されたある 会 社 の 物 語 です その 会 社 の 名 前 はNordic Tales 北 欧 の 物 語 という 意 味 の 名 を 持 つ 会 社 と その 会 社 が 作 り 出 す 作 品 たち 小 さくもキラキラと 輝 く 物 語 が 北 欧 の 国 デンマークで 紡 がれていきます The tale began in a town called Aarhus, more particularly at a place called Institute for X. Institute for X is a small area in a small town that has served as a cradle for many up and coming architects and designers and Institute for X is commonly referred to as the eye of the hurricane in terms of product development. This platform proved itself to be ideal for the company and therefore Nordic Tales soon became internationally renowned for デンマークにオーフスという 街 があるのをご 存 知 でしょうか この 物 語 はオーフ スの 街 にある 古 い 倉 庫 のような 建 物 から 始 ります Institute for X と 呼 ばれ るその 建 物 は 小 さな 街 の 小 さなエリアにひっそりと 佇 んでいます たくさんの 若 い 建 築 家 やデザイナーのゆりかごのような 存 在 で ハリケーンの 目 と 称 され るほど その 場 所 からたくさんのプロダクトやアイデアが 生 まれていったとい います まさにものづくりのための 理 想 的 なプラットフォームで 私 たちも 育 ま れていきました 程 なくしてNordic Talesの 作 品 たちは 国 境 を 越 えて 知 られる ようになりました its many creations. At institute for X an atelier was established during the summer of 2012, allowing the creation of interior setups. Besides this, the atelier also housed the warehouse and the office, and at one point no walls was separating Institute for X に 私 たちのアトリエが 誕 生 したのは 2012 年 の 夏 のことで した アトリエは 作 品 たちが 並 ぶインテリア 空 間 でありながら 倉 庫 やオフィス としても 機 能 していました ただしその3つの 機 能 を 分 ける 壁 などは 一 切 なく 全 てがひとつにまとまった 空 間 でした the three. Winter came and so did snow, and it turned out that the beloved atelier was extraordinary cold. But sales were still growing, leaving no time for repairs. Nordic Tales has gone through 時 は 流 れて2016 年 Nordic Talesのアトリエに 変 化 が 起 こっていまし a shape shift of a transformation and now finds itself in the back of a Nordic Tales Concept Store in one of Aarhus most dazzling shopping streets. The concept store is perceived as a laboratory here visitors come by and have a chat about this, that and last but not least, the creations of Nordic Tales. The visitors are continuously introduced throughout the development and Nordic Tales is directed た 慣 れ 親 し ん だ あ の 場 所 に も う そ の 姿 は あ り ま せ ん 愛 着 を 深 め た ア トリエに 別 れを 告 げ オーフスでとても 人 気 があるショッピング 通 りの 一 画 に コンセプトストアという 新 しい 形 を 見 いだしていました そこはお 店 とオフィスがガラスの 壁 越 しに 隣 り 合 う 場 所 アトリエより 研 究 室 とい う 言 葉 が 当 てはまるかもしれません オフィスで 作 品 を 生 み 出 し お 店 に 並 べ 訪 れた 人 々の 反 応 をそっと 観 察 するのです 時 にはあれこれ 意 見 を 交 わすこともあります たわいもない 世 間 話 も 交 えながら 訪 問 者 の 反 応 全 てが 作 品 たちを 進 化 させる 為 の 観 察 結 果 として 記 録 されていきます by their expressions of opinion. Nordic Tales has matured during exhibitions in the major design- and fashion capitals of Europe. The many impressions have forever changed the small company and its creations that now have a scent of something more. Nordic Talesはヨーロッパ 内 の 展 示 会 を 数 々 経 験 し 今 の 姿 にまで 成 長 していきました デザインとファッションの 最 先 端 をゆく 地 で 得 たたくさ んの 刺 激 は 小 さな 会 社 とその 作 品 たちを 絶 え 間 なく 変 化 させました 今 年 も 控 えたパリでの 展 示 会 では いったいどんな 新 しい 発 見 に 出 会 える でしょうか そして 今 未 だ 見 ぬ 何 かが 起 こりそうな 胸 騒 ぎがしています さぁヨーロッパを 飛 び 出 すときが 来 たようです さらなる 広 い 世 界 を 知 る 旅 が 始 ります 最 初 の 目 的 地 は 日 本 です この 夏 Nordic Talesは 新 しい 作 品 たちと 共 に 東 京 の 展 示 会 に 初 参 加 します 記 念 すべき4 度 目 の 夏 は 北 欧 の 国 から 遥 か 遠 い 日 本 で 迎 えることになります At this point in time, you ll still find Nordic Tales at the European fairs, for example in Paris, but the attention is also directed to the rest of the world. Nordic Tales will be celebrating its four year anniversary this summer by showcasing its latest creations in Tokyo. The development has accelerated in the small company, heavily assisted by 3D printers, virtual reality and other tools of what was thought reserved for people of the future. OurJourney The bright future Chapter 3 In a not so distant future, Nordic Tales will be revealing the result of a collaboration with one of the greatest そう 遠 くない 未 来 の 話 じっくりと 温 め 続 けてきたプロジェクトがベールを 脱 ぐことになります それはデンマークでいま 最 も 勢 いのある 起 業 家 のひとりで ある 人 物 とのコラボレーション このプロジェクトはNordic Talesが 今 まで entrepreneurs in Denmark. This will break the boundaries that have been defining Nordic Tales since the first now so distant - footsteps. This collaboration will blow wind in the sails of what is believed to be Nordic Tales 持 っていた 可 能 性 を 大 きく 押 し 広 げてくれるきっかけとなり 私 たちの 大 冒 険 の 追 い 風 となってくれるに 違 いありません お 披 露 目 のファンファーレが 鳴 り 響 く 瞬 間 は もうすぐ 側 まできているようです yet greatest adventure. When brought to completion, the collaboration is thought to define the moment between two paradigms このコラボレーションが 完 成 を 迎 えた 時 Nordic Talesの 新 たなステージが 幕 を 開 け 私 たちの 物 語 はまたそのページ 数 を 増 やしていくことでしょう in Nordic Tales, which once again is taking the shape of something new. Nordic Tales is facing its most exciting time of its short history. New agreements have been sealed around Europe and the sales are yet growing, breathing life into the lungs of new creations.
