The approach of the lesson improvement in Osaka City University KINO, Shigeru Center for Higher Education Research and Support Abstract It has been the th year by this year since university education reform of Japan started. In the meantime, the general education curriculum was abolished and the new curriculum was started by the basis of a new idea called consistent education throughout four years. Moreover, it was requested that a university should have supported systematically an improvement of the educational contents and the educational method. left to efforts of each teacher until now. Furthermore, a duty of promotion of systematic research / training activities of the university called Faculty Development (FD) is imposed upon each university now. Enforcement of the lesson evaluation questionnaire by a student is the one type. In this paper, I first introduce details and the current state of the educational reform and the FD activity that I have worked in Osaka City University, a former university. Next, the current state and the problem of a university lesson which the lesson evaluation questionnaire by the student showed are described, and the device of the lesson improvement which I have practiced, and the example of the bidirectional lesson which I have developed are introduced. At the last, the subject about a lesson improvement of this university is stated.
