A Review on the Relation between Faculty and Clerical Staffs in Japanese Private Universities : An Analysis of the Expression of the Equal Footing Collaboration between Faculty and Clerical Staffs Masashi Komuro This paper is a research of the actual situation and for realization of the equal footing collaboration between faculty and clerical staffs in Japanese private universities. The purpose of this paper is to make clear the relation between faculty and clerical staffs in Japanese private universities through considering actual situation of the expression of the equal footing collaboration between faculty and clerical staffs. For the purpose noted above, firstly, this study focused on the actual situation in which that expression means. Nextly, as necessary conditions for realizing that expression, the study focuses on labor conditions. The main findings are as follows. The actual situation has not been true to that expression. It is only labor conditions that meet the requirements as necessary conditions for realization of that expression. Then what really hiders the equal footing is to be studied in the next research.
