The mainstream of the leadership theory of the 20th century was a theory compounded from the aspect of two axes (work performance axis and human relations axis. Leadership did not exist in a single form but the developed alone axes which gave to priority is a product of the historical background. After the 1990 s, the expectation for the middle management layer have grown very much according to changing the organization from hierarchy to the flat system and the net-work system. The focus of the leadership theory moved from the top management layer to the middle management layer against the background of the epoch current.
