Sociology of Problems at Universities 2 Norio KITAGAWA Osamu UEDA Kouji MIYAMOTO Tohru HARADA Now in Japan, many universities are troubled with the decline in quantity of entrance examinees. They are making great efforts of adjusting to the severeenvironment. Our collaborative research project Sociology of Problems at Universities has been operated, from April in 2004 to March in 2006, to research problems with which universities, in particular private ones, are confronted, and to examine ways of dealing with them. This article, which is the second one of reporting the research, aims to depict the situation, arrange those problems library, public relations and homepage, management and president election, organizational development, and suggest proper ways to solve them.
