Abstract The purpose of this study is to reveal an effective video effects in Projection Mapping event. So, I made a Projection Mapping event in Old Public Hall Of Hakodate Ward. Moreover, I conducted a survey to find out an effective video effects. I produced a video of about 11 minutes that combines video utilizing the appearance of Old Public Hall Of Hakodate Ward and colorful video. And I projected the video to Old Public Hall Of Hakodate Ward. Many spectators visited the Projection Mapping event, the event was a great success. I focused on people are affective change to feel the surprise. On that basis, I was observed the audience. As a result, Many audiences had cheered, the audience had to feel the surprise in Projection Mapping event. In addition, I have conducted a questionnaire about the best video effect in projection mapping event. As a result, I revealed an effective video effects called Street lights and door and Framing. Street lights and door and Framing are visual effects utilizing the appearance of Old Public Hall Of Hakodate Ward. However, I can not determined other visual effects is not effective. Because, if Projection Mapping is more clearly, there is a possibility to the audience change the decision. In the future, I making a better Projection Mapping event, it is necessary to investigate the effective video effects.
