2 Abstract KEG Blog KOBA Collection OUC Barrel Describing persons is one of the most common topic in our daily conversation. Movies can be one of the most vital audiovisual resources to provide EFL learners with ample opportunities to enrich their skills of describing persons in the target language and this could lead to richer repertoire to make description of our universe. Learning to select the most appropriate adjectives or expressions can be applied to describe other objectives in our life. To that end, showing a movie to students in class and have them describe particular characters in the story in terms of their personality, appearance, social status, etc. in the film can be a sustainable trigger to motivate students to describe anything around them in the target language outside their classrooms. In my presentation, I pick up a popular Hollywood film 12 Angry Men, which I have used for the past 20 years in class, to demonstrate how to teach to describe persons in English in my class.
