Social Work Practice and Methods for Scientific Progress Yoshihiro Ohta Abstract : Although theories and methods of social work have been progressing new ideas and ways that support social work practice scientifically are yet to be implemented. Social work practice must be considered as life enhancing activities which can contribute toward problem solving and self-realization of clients. However, these activities are still practiced by relying on experience intuition. This article describes methods to advance social work practice scientifically. The Ecosystem Projects as General Social Work are the scientific professional services, which employ methods to resolve problems of clients and to enhance their lives through the use of technology. Therefore, this study considered the processes of enhancing participation and collaboration between clients and social workers.
