Geography of Religion in Postwar Japan (2): An Analysis of the Bibliography ODA Masayasu This paper follows the author s previous article (2002) which analyzed Bibliography of Geography Vol. 1 to 10. He makes a bibliography of geography of religion in Japan from 1997 to 2006 based on the Bibliography Vol. 11 and 12, and statistically examines some research trends in the field in that period. New findings in this paper are as follows: 1. The volume of the books and papers related to geography of religion has continued to increase in this period, too. 2. Islamic study has increased, although the number is very small. 3 Geographical studies of sacred places and festivals have increased rapidly. 4. Younger generation born in the 1970s and 1960s is most active, and is followed by the middle ages in the 1950s.
