with the fare paid on deboarding. Otaru City Bus One-Day Pass Adult fare is 220 yen per ride in Otaru city. Please prepare change before boarding. (Change machine on bus only takes 1,000yen bills.) You can also buy 220yen tickets beforehand from the ticket vending machine in front of Otaru Station. (For more about the One-day pass, please look at the next page.) Passengers using the IC card (SAPICA, Kitaca or Suica) please touch your card to the card reader and board the bus. After making sure of the fare and bus stop on the display at the front of the bus, push the stop button. A tour guide will not accompany parties. When the bus makes a stop and the doors open, please move to the front and put your money or bus ticket into the money box as you get off. Passengers using the IC card, please touch your card to the card reader located by the fare box before disembarking. The Otaru One-Day Bus Pass is a scratch card. When you use the card, scratch off the places marked "Year", "Month" and "Day" with a coin. Please show the date on the pass clearly to the driver when disembarking The areas covered by the one-day pass are shown in the diagram below. (You can use in-city Chuo Bus buses as well as Otaru Stroller's Buses.) When riding outside the covered area, please pay the fare difference at your final bus stop. If you show your one-day pass at tourist locations or restaurants, you may be able to receive discounts. (Available discounts are shown on pages 8-12 with the time schedule, and on pages 13-18.)
