Bull. Tokushima Pref. Mus. No. 6 : 9-5, 06 AMS 4 C [Ken-ichi Nakao 3 : Molluscan fossils from the Naruto Strait, the eastern part of the Seto Inland Sea, western Japan and their AMS 4 Cages] AbstractMany molluscan fossils have been dredged from sea bottom of the Naruto Strait, the eastern part of Seto Island Sea. The molluscan fossils were divided into two faunas : and Potamocorbula associations and performed AMS 4 C datings due to obtaining reliable ages of these faunas. The association characterized by tokyoensis was distributed in muddy bottom of embayment. Its AMS 4 Cageswere out of range. On the other hands, the Potamocorbula association characterized by Potamocorbula sp. inhabited in tidalsubtidal muddy bottom. Based on AMS 4 C datings, age of Potamocorbula association indicates within marine oxygen isotope stage 3. 3 Palaeoloxodon naumaniimakiyama tokyoensistokunaga 998 004 00504 AMS 4 C Fig..
