Comparison of Japanese-Chinese Education Circumstances and Teacher Education : Through Practical Education Research (China) in the Teaching Profession Graduate School Kenichi MATSUURA (National Taisetsu Youth Friendship Center) In December 2009, I visited Beijing in China to conduct practical education research with the teaching profession graduate school and had an opportunity to speak with incumbent teachers and college and graduate students of the education department who wanted to be teachers. Using what became clear to me from my visit to China and discussions with incumbent teachers there, I clarify the actual situation and problems in Japan through comparison with China while taking difficulties that the Japanese teacher education system faces into consideration. As a result, it became clear that there are some differences in the teacher systems of Japan and China ; (1) a teacher in charge of the class system and department system, (2) the adoption system of the teacher, (3) the commendation system of the teacher. Moreover, it became clear that there are some differences about education contents and the method between the two countries ; (1) the authority of the curriculum, (2) serious considerationofthe education philosophy, (3) regional disparity.
