March School Education Systemand Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder ABSTRACT The purpose of this paper is to discuss Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) sociologically in the context of School Education System, which is reacently attracting in the field of child welfare. Especially, we take note of two points; first, we discuss ADHD as a sociological concept, not as a treatment such as in pedagogy or psychiatry. Second, we discuss ADHD fromthe view point of the School Education System in Japan. In conclusion, we define ADHD as a relative deviation fromthe norm, but not sanctioned, and find that it is too difficult to pay special attention to ADHD children in the School Education Systemof Japan.
