This degree not only has the danger of fall of examinees but also forces the great stress on them. Also there are cases that the double contrast images are difficult to be taken depending on the shapes of the stomach. We have developed the remote control pressured pillow and have examined the usefulness of it. The pillow consists of two bags that are made up with resinous films that are wrapped in solid clothes and can be inflated into two levels. The depiction ranges of double contrast gastrography in prone position taken with using the futon that is usually employed are compared to the ones with using the remote control pressured pillow. The angle of head-down tilt was set at the inverse angle of 20 degrees. The order of the use of futon and the pillow was changed reciprocally and there was no intentional action was taken such as lifting up the hips during the examination.
