March 201 A Study on the Generating Mechanism and Preventive Measures of Communication Errors in Industrial Organizations Guirong Shi Shiichiro Inoue In the causative analyses of the accident and trouble which have occurred in various industrial organizations, it is clear that the human factor is prominently involved. In these analyses the importance of preventing communication error, often called the king of human error, is often pointed out. In this study, accidents were analyzed from the view of human psychological traits and organizational behavior, along with an examination of the basic processes of communication, and the factors which cause communication errors. Furthermore, based on this analysis and examination, the generating mechanism of the communication errors was clarified and the preventive measures which can be implemented for individuals and organizations were proposed. For future study, the question how to verify the validity of the preventive measures of communication errors was discussed.
