3A: やまださんのいえテレビありますか A: Yamada-san no ie ni terebi ga arimasu ka. A: Is there a television in your house, Mr. Yamada? B: いいえ ありません B: Iie, arimasen. B: No, there isn't. 4A: あのへやなありますか A: Ano heya ni nani ga arimasu ka. A: What is in that room? B: テーブルとベッドあります B: Teeburu to beddo ga arimasu. B: There is a table and a bed. Commentary A. あります indicates the existence of inanimate things. B. Used with and verbs that express existence such as あります, indicates the place where N2 is located. C. There is a dog in my house. 2 あのへやくせいいません Ano heya ni gakusee wa imasen. There isn't a student in that room. (There aren't any students in that room.)

B. ~つ is used when counting things and ~ん when counting people.
