Message from Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart State Minister for Economics, Innovatin, Digitalisation and Energy of North Rhine- Westphalia (NRW) Im vergangenen Jahr durfte die Stadt Essen Gastgeber des ersten wissenschaftlichen Symposiums zur Spitzentechnologie in der Medizin sein.

Message from Masao Uchibori Governor of Fukushima Prefecture It has been 6 years and 8 months since the Great East Japan Earthquake. In the years since then, Fukushima Prefecture has made steady progress towards revitalization thanks to warm support from the rest of the world and the constant efforts of its citizens. In order to further secure this foundation and accomplish reconstruction, the prefecture is continuing to focus its efforts into the development of medical device-based industrial clusters. The value of medical device parts and components produced in Fukushima is ranked 1st in Japan, and this demonstrates just how many technologically-advanced companies are located within Fukushima. Moreover, we are promoting business activities between the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and our prefecture, in the field of medical devices.
