There are two types of possessive pronouns. ( 所有代名詞は所有権を表す代名詞です 所有代名詞には次に示すふたつの種類があります ) 1. Weak possessive pronouns also called Possessive Determiners include my, your, his, her, its, their and our. They function as adjectives that modify the noun in a sentence. ( my: 私の your: あなた ( たち ) の his: 彼の her: 彼女の its: それの their: 彼らの ours: 私たちの は所有限定詞と呼ばれ 名詞を修飾する形容詞の役割を果たします ) Examples:( 例 ) Do you want to use my credit card? ( あなたは私のクレジットカードを使いたいのですか?) Strong possessive pronouns also called Absolute Possessive include mine, yours, his, hers, its, theirs and ours. They stand in the place of a noun phrase and because of this they can stand on their own.
