Medicine has changed radically over the ages. We've seen lots of medical innovations throughout the years which some people see as miracles of research and technology. Today, most paralyzed patients no longer have to depend on other people for physical tasks; they can use robotic arms and limbs to help them lead independent lives. Medicine has also found a way besides amputation to treat patients with broken or infected limbs. Research says that growing new body parts will be possible. Other notable improvements in medicine are the latest imaging tools and techniques. Today, medical practitioners find it easier to examine internal organs. This paved the way for easier diagnoses and treatments for major diseases such as tumors and heart ailments. These and many other medical breakthroughs have helped people of different ages and circumstances live normal lives. B. Quick Q&A (2-3 minutes) 1. How often do you visit a physician? 2. Do you have first-aid medicine at home? Why or why not? 3. Do you immediately take medicine when you don t feel well? 4. What s the most common disease in your community? 5.
